I'm from Quebec City, Canada. The Quebec government closed all schools including universities until at least 30 March but my uni is switching all classes online. As I'm doing a Master's in political science, I'm mostly writing and reading which helps me improve to a higher level as most literature in my field is written in English. My go-to music when I'm studying is opera, especially Maria Callas. I love your channel because even though I consider my self fluent in English, your videos help me become more familiar with British English, especially pronunciation. And your stories on Instagram when you walk around London make me miss this city so much. I visited for a week last May and I can't wait for the day I'm able to go back.

So we use the Internet so that we don't forget our English skills. I will share this video with 'my' English ladies. I can't wait for your next video. Stay healthy.

I agree that putting away the phone is one of the best way of learning English. All coming calls will distract me from my study. It is not easy for me to have a timer. I like reading but when some words are new to me, I need to look up the dictionary. Watching films or TV series through NETFLIX is one of my hobbies. Hope I can see English films without watching the English subtitles one day.

Another great public service, brilliant! We can apply these tips to any study, this is really helpful, thanks, Tom! In this time of isolation, could be helpful to have your guidelines on the complimentary words for closing a letter or email. I couldn't find any good tutorial at all. Best, warm, kind regards?? All of them seem so inappropriate, how can warm be formal? I'd love to stop using "thanks" all the time and have the ability to choose the right closing words according to my mood, to the context and to my recipient. Would love to hear you talking about that. Yours, Rebeca ;)
