How To String A Tennis Racquet For The First Time
After spending a lot of time on the tennis court over the years as a junior playing and training, I started breaking more strings. This started getting expensive when I had to have my racquets strung. Therefore, I decided to learn how to string my own racquets. It seemed like a fairly straightforward process, but it's tricky at first, so you will want to watch this video from start to finish as I show you how to string your racquet for the first time.

Thank you for your time and insight, especially on the nuances of stringing a brand new racquet. It took me half the time to string a used racquet. Those grommets were a pain. Because of your advice, I think I avoided a lot of beginner mistakes.

Do not use the tensioner to tighten the knots. It's bad for your racquet and for the string, both of which can break. Use your starting clamp for better grip and hand tighten.

Thanks for sharing. Few tips: pre-weave one cross ahead before tensioning. Also, since you have a clamp consider using it to start crosses. That way you won't need to use a starting knot. Parnell knot is a great alternative to your knot.

I think a drop wheight is more accurate because it constantly pulls instead of a crank just locking out

@@MPTennis do a parnell knot, its much neater and holds tension better. honestly the second half hitch knot you do, is pretty much useless and holds nothing. great tutorial btw.
