Thanks a lot for the video it really explained the steps well. However, I first started streaming on twitch using twitch studio, and then I had to switch to OBS which was a painful process but I'm pretty happy with OBS. The reason for the change was that Twitch Studio uses a lot of CPU no matter if you're using NVEC or x264 encoder. I don't why this happens and this costs my stream a lot of frames. The bitrate is another issue, in OBS I stream at 5800 but on Twitch I can stream with just 4500 which looks really bad if the canvas is set to 720p60. Maybe because it's in the development stage but Twitch Studio is not the ideal candidate for me right now. Although the in-game overlay feature is to die for which shows the chats and the alerts in-game, hope OBS has something like that in the future. I forgot to mention that I have an i5-2400s and a GT 710 graphics card with 8GB of physical memory

So glad I found you! You're a lifesaver!!! I'll be back again...and again...and again... 🤣😆🤣 Quick question: when setting up my game capture window (a puzzle game, think wordle), I am able to click which window to grab (Twitch Studio indicates it's looking at the right one), but the preview window is blank/black--and when I click stream, the go-live preview screen does NOT show the open window. I can see the game/window on my desktop--and, yes, I have set up the layer correctly (I think!), at least my other layers appear to function properly. I also went into settings on my MacBook and flipped the toggle in the privacy tab to allow google chrome access. What could I be missing?!? Thanks for the mini guide, for some reason my mac mini m1 is not installing the extensions so i guess i have to do a restart of the system to install the extensions into the platform or computer. Hopefully this gets fixed or theres an update to this issue.

2 screens is always the best option, but you can play your game in windowed mode and it should capture while your not in twitch studio :)

Just don't share your full screen in your screen capture. If you only selected your game in the screen capture then you have nothing to worry about :)

I believe you could. You would just open skype as normal and use a window capture to capture Skype - at least that's how I'd do it in OBS :)

This is gonna be a stupid question but I'm a brand new twitch user and I'm using twitch studio and streaming from my macbook pro. But, how do you play the game but stream at the same time? Because how do i view the stream and see the comments/followers and everything if my whole screen is showing my game. Do the notifications show while my game is on the screen? I'm so confused lol

Most people buy a second monitor so you can have one on each screen. But if you only have one, usually you start the stream and minimize Twitch Studio and play your game (you won't see anything since the game covers the screen). There's a setting in Twitch Studio called in-game overlay which you can try but it's not a fix all. Also some people use their phone to at least read Chat when they only have one monitor.

Are you streaming through your Xbox or your Laptop? If you're streaming directly through your xbox then you can't do much other than stream yourself and the game

Twitch Studio tends to use more resources on your computer than OBS Studio so it could be that if your computer isn't the best. Otherwise try lowering your settings in Twitch Studio and watch my video on how to get the best Twitch Studio settings for your PC

Hi, is there a way to get a fullscreen preview in twitch studio or a way to send only the preview feed to another app. I wanted to send the preview feed to another app (like you can do in OBS with the virtual camera), but I couldn't find any way to do so. Virtual Camera in twitch studio only offers me webcam and VTube feeds so that won't work. i also can't use my twitch feed, because of the delay.

Streaming from Twitch Studio and directly from your Xbox are different. If you want to use Twitch Studio's designs, then you'll need to stream from your computer directly through Twitch Studio.

Could be that your computer can't handle running the game and streaming at the same time, possibly try lowering the game quality or stream quality and see if that helps :)

So, I've been trying to use Twitch Studio to stream from Steam or GOG games and they only stream if I share my desktop...it won't stream Full Screen games or if I select the game. However, games from the XBOX App stream fine.

So I downloaded Studio the other day and I’ve been trying to get the hang of it, but for some reason when I try talking into my mic, it’s not working. It registers when I tap the mic to test it, but it doesn’t for my voice(granted it’s a gaming headset and not a separate microphone, but still). Is there something I’m not doing right?

@@OkBooner Streaming Software doesn't matter when it comes to saving streams, streams are auto-saved on Twitch itself AFTER you've enabled the save past broadcasts option in the Twitch settings, any streams done before enabling that setting were not saved :)

You need a way of connecting your Xbox to Twitch Studio on your PC. You can do this with a Capture Card (kzread.info/dash/bejne/dqGGxayefJSnepc.html) or this method: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qoyTy9WlZs_Rdpc.html

ummm.. let me explain and ask my complicated question... I have a not so great laptop just enough it works still.. I don't have a gaming console.. what I do have is a decent phone that I stream games from to stream... can I use the "brb" option that twitch stream studio offers or just in that idea is this possible to do while streaming from mobile? I use starcape app to stream.. I would like to have the option to have "starting soon", "be right back" if doing it from browser makes more sense.. starcape has a "brb" screen option but not much options to it as I would like.. please and thank you

@@CpawsMusic yes. I have tried obs(selive) and now twitch studio beta and after setting up the auto install my info is there but no chat, status feed, or actual game feed.

how to stream specific audio from game on twitch studio? I mean when I stream a game on twitch studio, I want my viewers only hear sounds from my game, not from other sound sources like chrome, discord, iTunes, etc

not sure you can, but I'd recommend looking into the advanced audio mixer for twitch studio - otherwise I'd recommend using obs or streamlabs

Only if you have a capture card and stream through your pc

how to crop an image, for example, I want my tabs not to be visible when I show the browser on the stream, and there was a black bar, I know in obs you can crop it through alt, but I don’t understand how

It's a little more tricky. So click on the source you want to crop, then look at the top of the screen and look for the crop button, then you can crop like normal

Make sure you have the right audio sources selected :)

You mention that you can either record or stream but you don't say whether you can stream and record your game at the same time. Is this possible?

Yup! You can do both at the same time. Just when you start either, click the arrow next to the end button and it'll let you stream/record at the same time

I've turned the vod setting (store past broadcast) ON but my stream videos didn't saved. any solution?

The old videos won't be saved but only the new streams will be saved from now on that you have the save option enabled :)

Can i somehow manage a discord call in this studio ? I want to stream with my friends but i also want my friends to be heared by viewers

Yup! Discord should automatically be picked up in the Desktop audio source :)

Great video although alerts aint working for me, I can test alerts but when streaming I dont see any new follower alert.. I dont see any color like you have in your alerts
