Just what I needed. My streams were laggy and my controller input lag was terrible, but once I added that second account it works great. I did still experience lag on my stream but I found that shrinking the PS4 Remote Play app down to it’s smallest size possible, then on Streamlabs making the window capture fit to screen in the transform set, everything smoothed out perfectly.........Great video.. thanks man!

You should have your mic set up just as you usually would with your main account. For the audio to get onto the stream from your mic and party, please look for the relevant FAQ on the pinned comment of this video. Hope it helps :)

What error message do you get when remote play disconnects? Can you make sure you are using a working cable for your 2nd controller, and that it doesnt become unplugged? Also what is your internet connection like?

Everytime I connect my second controller. The first controller I have plug into my laptop turns off which displays a message on remote play saying lost connection to controller which then black out the screen from remote play???

Hi! Can you please use the reset button on the back of the controller plugged into the laptop by holding it down using a paperclip for 5 to 10 seconds? It is in a hole found on the back of the controller. Then try the whole method again. It sort of sounds like the controller was trying to disconnect from the laptop to connect to the PS4 instead so this should fix the issue. If it doesn't try using a different cable.

Octorious I had both a cable connecting controller to PS4, and controller connecting to PC. I have an Astro C40 TR that I was trying to use to game with, and it would always disconnect from PS4 and connect to PC. Tried to reconnect to PS4 and it would turn the remote play off on the PC.

Hi! This is a common issue for mac users. You want to go into your security and privacy settings and grant permission for Streamlabs OBS to be able to screen capture. Let me know if this helps :)

When remote play is installed, try search for "remote play" in the windows search bar. Or open file explorer, go to your C drive, then check the program files x86 folder, go down to sony, then ps4 remote play, then scroll down and you should be able to boot the application from there. Hey! Look up a software called Droidcam and find out how to properly use it. Its available for android or IOS now, and allows you to either stream you camera via the internet to your PC, or you can do it via cable so it doesnt use the internet. You can do this in up to 1080p, at either a 4:3 ratio or 16:9. Hope this helps :D

Very odd! Have you downloaded the correct version for your PC? So if you are on windows you downloaded the windows version and not mac? When i try to sign in with my second account on ps4 remote play, it give me this error A connection to the server could not be established. (18.e0fc1402.1594427266.47c797b7) Edit: I fixed that, however when it opens, it shows the ps4 screen until i make it full screen, it turns black.

This sounds like you have it set up with settings too difficult to your internet to handle. Try streaming at a lower bitrate, and connect to remote play at a lower FPS or lower resolution. Also make sure you are streaming at the same resolution as what you are connected to remote play at. Hope this helps :)

Please follow the steps in this person's video to make remote play think you have a controller plugged into your pc, then follow the rest of the steps in my video using your only controller to play on your PS4. @@athxrva6692 regarding needing 2 accounts, check the FAQ I have pinned as a comment as I answer that to the best of my ability there. If you do what you have said this will not work as you will have to play via remote play and it will be very laggy for you and the stream.

Hi! If you want party audio, then you will want to join the party with the 2nd account and the primary account you play on. Mute the mic of the second account, via the second account. Do NOT mute the second account from any other account in the party. Hope this helps 😊

When I remote play on my second account, it doesn’t let me connect to online internet, how do I fix that?

So you manage to connect to the PS4 but then the moment u do the internet connection drops? I think Ive misunderstood your question. Could you try and explain it a bit more specifically please? Sorry about this.

Octorious sorry l, worded that wrong, I do every step, it goes good then when I signed into my main account and go to play online, or stream from my ps, it says that I can’t Bc I’m remote playing, my computer doesn’t have a spot for the controller to plug into, will it not work Bc of that?

@@ryanfulton7895 I have the same problem, i cant connect to the online services when my remote play account is in use.. I could play Warzone before without the PS4 Plus. But do i really need PS4 Plus to stream it when im using remote play?

@@ryanfulton7895 your controller does need to be connected to your PC, or you can use the emulator method. Try singing into your main account and booting up your game first, then connecting to remote play.

@@LAMBOJIMMIyt yeah this is only an issue on COD. You don't need ps plus. Just sign into your main account, open warzone, connect to servers, get to the lobby, then connect to remote play on the second account and it should work fine.

Hi Thijs Braam. Try the following: Step 1 - Click the sign-in button to bring up the window to sign in. Step 2 - Right-click the blue "Sign in" button on the pop-up window, and select properties. Step 3 - Copy the link in the properties box. Make sure to copy and paste the WHOLE link. It isn't all visible at once and you have to scroll in that section of the properties window. Step 4 - Paste the link into your web browser and sign in. Step 5 - Now you should be on a page that just says "redirect". Copy the link at the top. Step 6 - Go back to the sign-in window on remote play and press "Ctrl + L". Step 7 - Paste that link into the box that comes up from pressing "Ctrl + L" on the sign-in pop-up and click ok. You should now be signed in to your account on remote play. Hope this helps :D

@@Wowowowdjnf are you trying to use your ps4 mic whilst its plugged into the ps4? If that's the case, you wanna join the party on the 2nd account, mute the second accounts mic, and then your mic audio comes through remote play. It wont be adjustable individually if the mic isnt in the pc. If you are using a pc mic, change the input so that it is your microphone in streamlabs

Octorious I have a wireless mic and the usb is in the PS4 so on my second account I have to join my own party and mute it and then ppl will hear me??

streamlabs isnt letting me use, "capture window" for remote play, its not an option. but, when i go into, "game capture" its an option, but when i click it, it just shows a black screen.

That's very weird that its recognising it like that. Try doing it the game capture way, then right clicking the canvas and selecting fit to screen. Also make sure remote play isnt minimised or covered by other windows. Hope this helps :D

This is because you are connected to your main account on remote play. Go to remote play settings on the remote play application, and make sure at the top.of that window you are signed into your 2nd account like I showed in the video.

I didnt bring any false claims lol. PSN is NOT Ps Plus. PSN is required as you need to be connetced to PlayStation servers, PS Plus is not required. PS Plus allows you to play paid for games online, not connect to PSN. This video has helped thousands and thousands. Theres nothing fake with any of my videos. Why are you so salty? Im incredibly busy, took time to respond to try to help you and you say this? Its a disgrace imo.

Genius my friend. Have you seen the LAN ethernet method. That works with zero input lag and looks brilliant. Only downside is you can only play offline. Regardless this method was brilliant!

Thank you! I have seen the direct LAN method and was tempted to include that but figured most people want to stream multi player games. Here are some answers to frequently asked questions I am receiving. If your question is not answered here, then please leave a separate comment (DO *NOT* REPLY TO THIS COMMENT as I will not see your reply) so I can reply to it and hopefully fix your issue or answer your question. Thank you! *Q: Will this work on Mac & Windows?* _A: Yes! You can do this on any OS that allows remote play and Streamlabs. It is also possible on some phones with the remote play app and Streamlabs app._ *Q: Why do I need to use 2 accounts for this method?* _A: If you use your primary account to play the PS4 and run remote play, this means you will have to play via the remote play window using the controller plugged into your PC. If you try to connect a controller to ur primary account via the PS4, then the remote play session will end the moment you connect the new controller to your PS4. You could just play from your PC using the 1 controller and 1 account, but then there is more stress on your internet, making the stream potentially laggy, and you will also experience input lag, thus making games difficult to play. With a 2nd account, you can connect to the PS4 using that account and then connect another controller to the PS4 and play straight from the PS4 on your primary account, as the remote play session doesn't end when you connect a controller to a different user. This way you get 0 input lag, can play on your PS4s display, and there should be less stress on your internet, thus making the stream smooth. I hope this explains to you why the 2nd account is necessary._ *Q: Why is my stream laggy when using this method?* _A: If your live stream appears laggy to your viewers, then it is likely you are trying to stream at a resolution or bitrate that your internet cannot handle whilst also connected to remote play. To fix this, please connect to remote play at a lower resolution or frame rate and lower the resolution and bitrate which you stream at in Streamlabs. I explain how to do this in the video._ *_REMEMBER TO SUBSCRIBE_* *Q: How can I get my PS4 audio on the stream?* _A: To get your PS4 audio on the stream, first make sure that you have audio coming through remote play and you can hear it yourself on your PC. If you cannot hear any audio from remote play, please watch the video for instructions on making sure remote play isn’t muted. If there is still no gameplay audio coming from remote play, then unplug/disconnect any audio devices connected to your PS4, then reconnect to remote play and see if there is audio. If there is now audio then reconnect any audio devices to your PS4 whilst you are still connected to the second account on remote play. Now in Streamlabs, add a desktop audio capture source and make sure your PC’s audio output is on. To prevent an echo on stream, plug in a pair of cheap earbuds that may have come with your phone into your PC._ *Q: I cannot find “remoteplay.exe” as a window to capture, or any window similar in Streamlabs. How can I fix this?* _A: If you are on Windows, this should be fixed by simply restarting Streamlabs, and making sure remote play is both connected and open as a window. Do not have Streamlabs covering the remote play window, and have them set up as split-screen to ensure Streamlabs can see the remote play window and it doesn’t freeze. For Mac users, go to your device’s security and privacy settings, then make sure Streamlabs has the permission to capture your display. Now do the same steps I listed for Windows users._ *Q: How can I get my microphone audio and party chat on the stream?* _A: First of all, make sure remote play is sending gameplay audio to your PC by following a different FAQ above. Once you know the audio is coming through onto the stream, join the party using the second account. Then on the PS4 using your primary controller and account, also join the party. You should now have all of your party audio sent through to the second account and through remote play, and your own microphone audio from your primary account should be sent to the second account. If you want the best quality audio and least lag, however, I do recommend you connect a microphone to your PC, and speak with your friends through an app on your PC such as Discord. You can then capture the Discord audio and put it onto the stream, and control the volume of your friends separately, and not as a part of the game audio which you can’t do by using the party chat via remote play._ *IF THAT DOES NOT WORK, DO THIS:* _Connect your microphone to your PC. Set it up so that your PC audio (so remote play) is outputted to your headset, and make sure the microphone selected is the one on your headset. Now on Streamlabs add an audio capture source and capture your mic. Now on remote play, make sure you are in the party on the second account, and click the mic icon at the bottom right of the remote play window to unmute the microphone. Then check on PS4 settings>audio devices that the input is the remote play mic. You should now be able to talk to the party chat, hear the party chat, and have both yourself and the party chat on the stream._ *_REMEMBER TO SUBSCRIBE & LIKE IF THIS HELPED_* *Q: How can I use my PS camera as a facecam?* _A: To use your PS camera, you will have to plug it into your PC. To do this, you will have to follow this method: __kzread.info/dash/bejne/hoKOtrmLfrKnl6TD.html_ . Unfortunately, this method requires you to purchase a rather expensive PS camera to USB adaptor, to the point where I actually recommend you use the money to buy a webcam for your PC. If you have a phone with a camera, however, connect that to your PC and use it as a webcam as the quality is most likely better than most cheap webcams or the PS camera. You can then add it as a video source to the stream on Streamlabs or OBS, and drag it and resize it to where you want it to be on the stream._ *Q: How can I get a controller overlay on stream?* _A: You can attempt to use this method: __kzread.info/dash/bejne/ammOrJlwhcbIncbD.html_ , however, it is unlikely this will work very well whilst you are also connected to remote play. For this to work properly, a capture card would be required._ *Q: Will this work on an old/weak PC?* _A: If your PC meets the recommended specs for Streamlabs (as seen on their site), then this method should work well._ *_REMEMBER TO SUBSCRIBE IF THIS HELPED & YOU WANT MORE PS4 & PS5 GUIDES & DISCUSSIONS_* *Q: How do I add overlays, transitions, and music etc to the stream?* _A: Adding things to make your stream much more professional is very simple. I recommend you just Google what you want to add and you should find very useful tutorials for adding them. This is better than me writing it as a comment, as the online guides will show you using images and videos of how to do this. Streamlabs beginner guide can be found here: __howto.streamlabs.com/streamlabs-obs-19/getting-started-with-streamlabs-obs-28__ ._ *Q: How do I start the live stream?* _A: First, make sure your stream key is pasted into Streamlabs. You will be able to find this in your settings on the platform you want to stream on. It is in your account settings on Twitch, and in KZread, go to YT studio, then “Go Live”, and copy the stream key. It is vital you do not share this key with anybody otherwise they could go live on your channel. If you are still unsure where to find this, you can google “where to find my stream key” on your platform. You then paste the key into your Streamlabs settings as I showed in the video. Once you are ready to go live, simply hit the “Go Live” button on either Streamlabs itself, or Streamdeck on your mobile device._ *Q: I only have one controller.* _A: Please follow the steps in this person's video to make remote play think you have a controller plugged into your pc, then follow the rest of the steps in my video using your only controller to play on your PS4. @dajuice Tryz yes i do. I captured the footage in this video using the ps4 and ps4 remote play though. I normally just use the ps4. I have the card for streaming VR, and for capturing the ps4 menus that you cant capture with remote play such as network settings

Octorious yea I did! Thanks! One question I have if you don’t mind helping... do I still use “broadcast gameplay” from PS4 or do I have to start a stream from streamlabs? If I have to go through streamlabs, how can I get my PS4 facecam in the stream?

@@Jokester954 yes, you have to go live via streamlabs. I dont believe there is a way to get your ps4 camera on the stream sadly. Thanks for the videos this is great. It is working for me but for some reason only during gameplay it shows lagging on the stream. What can I do to fix this? When I am talking, or in the menu it works just fine. TIA

When you are playing more bandwidth is being used so I imagine thats an internet problem :(

I've not the proper laptop to use Streamlabs, but I'm getting a new one on my birthday! (I already know which one hehe) It's mainly for college but I'm so glad I'm actually able to use it on my new one. Quick (probably dumb) question, once we connect Remote Play is the controller actually connected to the PS4 or the screen?
