How to Fold Away Stow and Go Seats in Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country.
To the best of my knowledge, the only minivans that have these stow and go seats include Dodge Caravan, Chrysler Pacifica, Chrysler Town and County, and Chrysler Voyager.
In this video, I show you just how easy it is for anyone to make all the seats disappear in minutes to create a roomy sleeping area.
Stow and Go Instructions to Fold Away Second Row Seats:
1. Push the seat all the way to the front.
2. Pop off the mat in front of the 2nd row seat.
3. Use the metal, ring shaped pull to lift the cover and hold the cover far away from the seat.
4. Lift the lever on the side of the seat, which will cause the seat to fold itself up and flip over. And you just have to push it down into its compartment.
How to Bring Back Out Second Row Seats:
1. Push the seat all the way to the front.
2. Pull on the metal ring to lift the cover.
3. Use the strap handle to pull the seat out.
4. Pull up on the seat back until it locks into place.
5. Put back the mat in front of the seat and snap back into place.
How to Fold Down Third Row Seats:
1. Undo the seatbelt for the middle seat.
2. In the back of the seats, there are straps with numbers on them, and you just need to pull on the straps in numerical order:
Strap #1: Folds down the headrest.
Strap #2: Folds down the back of the seat and locks it to the seat bottom.
Strap #3: Unlocks the entire seat so it can be flipped over.
Strap #4: Use to flip over the seat. Pull on strap #4 to flip over the seat.
How to Fold Back Out Third Row Seats:
1. Pull on the short strap that is un-numbered, and flip over the seat until you hear a click sound.
2. Pull on strap #2 to unlock the seat back from the seat bottom and use strap #4 to pull the seat back to an upright position.
3. Simply lift the headrest back up.
4. Put the seatbelt back.
Once the seats are folded down, you can even fit a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood in your minivan.
Here is how the stow and go seating works in the Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country.

I just bought a 1995 Town & Country with 98,457 miles in good condition & rust free for $9652 .00. A bit high but these days finding a minivan in good condition specially rust free is very hard to come by so I didn't hesitate since it would disappear immediately

Convenient for camping, though don't expect to be able to seat an adult for more than an hour. My wife occasionally travels cross town & in pain by the time she gets to her destination. Maybe kids can handle these made to fold extremely uncomfortable 2nd & 3rd row seats.

I always sat in the driver's seat, so I never got to experience how uncomfortable the seats were, but I figured they might be uncomfortable for people with long legs since you can't move the seats to give yourself more legroom.

My T&C is a 2005 model and full of junk from using it for work. The mechanisms no longer work..Half the junk, screws, nuts and assorted small tools have become a permanent feature..Very tempted to cut out the seats to cover with plywood..LOL

Wow, so all you need is a couple of graduate degrees in mechanical engineering -- and you are good to go with these Stow 'N Go contraptions, huh? Hot dang, I had a regular Caravan (1994) a while back. Nothing "Grand" about it, fortunately. Only one backseat that could be easily removed in its entirety, so you use the short wheelbase Caravan for hauling stufff and sleeping in. Te contraption shown here is plain crazy. And since you are still not removing the seats out of the vehicle, you are carrying a load of extra weright with you unnecessarily. One more thing, my Caravan had a fuel-miser 4-cylinder engine. Not the gas-guzzler 3.6-liter V6 Pentatstar of today.
