    The video was simple and helpful. It wasn’t explained how long to leave the kefir grains in the fridge in plain water without sugar. Thanks 😊

    I'm storing mine in the fridge with sugar water, i think it's the best way, much easier to wake them up than any other method.

    How long can you leave them like that? One of my inserts I read when I bought the grains said they consume the sugar water in 3 days and then the grains will consume the other grains. Thanks!

    What is the purpose of the reset with no sugar? How long are they left this way?

  • @TheOrganicBeehive

    @TheOrganicBeehive

    Sometimes your water kefir can start turning cloudy and get a little stinky. Resetting your grains in plain water can help bring it back to a balanced state. You can leave them this way in your fridge for one week. Change the water out after a few days so that all of the excess yeast from their environment is gone. Hope that helps Jennie!

    When you feed it every two weeks, do you simply add 1 tablespoon of sugar to the water? Or do you strain the grains and put into a glass of fresh water (1 cup) and sugar (1 tablespoon)?

    I'm sorry my directions weren't clear. This video was strictly about storing grains. I'd recommend watching my video on how to make water kefir for exact measurements on feeding instructions. Hope that answers some of your questions. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pK52t8OLfNO1ftY.html
