Good tips, I find clear or colored bins work for me , then I know INSTANTLY what season is in the bin. Also pictures are a must. Plus I make a note of things I need the next year like new napkins, or new picks, so I don't over buy one year. Thank you

My brain must be rebuilding (2 craniniotomis in 2 weeks last spring. But i had the idea after i set up Christmas that i would take a picture, and pack thR arrangemeny in one box labeled for where i put it as o next yrar i dont have to re think it next year. I feel thT is close to what aa professional would do. That is a win for me!plus id there is something i want my children to know about it. Ill tuck a note in it.

Great tips - I plan to use clear bins so that, along with labelling, I can SEE what's inside! Great idea to take pics, this is our first year in this home and I'm sure I won't remember next Christmas what I did this year!

Thank you for your storage tips

Ok girlfriend, you just knocked it out of the park for me. I am so in to keeping things organized. It's a must for me to function. I don't live in a house big enough for all of my stuff, so we built shelves for my bins to be on, so they're not stacked on top of each other. Cause it never bloomin failed for me, the one bin I would need, would be at the bottom. Since my husband died, my son lives with me. So we both have stuff in the garage. Every bin in the garage is numbered, and then inventoried, in a spreadsheet on the computer. So no matter what I'm looking for, I can look on the spreadsheet, do a search, and go straight for the bin. As you know, I am in awe of your style, and perfection. But watching this had me all kinds of giddy. Yay Brittney! ❤️

Tracy I LOVE how you have organized your bins in the garage! Genius! I never thought of numbering and then doing an inventory. What a great idea! I am like you, I have to be organized to function. Organization is my love language lol!

This was an awesome video. I love decorating for the holidays and love being organized. Great tips! My favorite was the plastic sleeve and paper labels. Another thing is to take a picture of the contents, print and slip picture into the plastic sleeve 👍🏽

Such great ideas! I do most of these except for categorizing. I pack mine up as rooms, or vignettes, or hutches. That way i can complete an area and move to the next area ..... love your white bins.

Thank you! I actually use tree bags to pack up all my trees. I don't attempt to get them back in their original bulky boxes. If the trees are small (4ft or so) I store those in one of the large bins you see here. I hope that helps!

I have one thing to say about that having everything in one seamless colour is good at times now it isn’t good all the time for some people for me I have low vision so for me if I had all my if I had all my bins let’s say I did decorate for fall and I did decorate for Easter and I decorated for Christmas and I decorated for Valentine’s Day even though I don’t I only decorate for Christmas and even just Christmas bins alone having all my bins the exact same colour would make me absolutely confused it would make me so lost even with it labelled I would probably mistakenly grab a bin that is not Christmas decor or if I was decorating for Halloween that is not Halloween decor or whatever now I only decorate for Christmas but even with my Christmas bins I have it all different coloured like I have my smallest bin has a white top my second smallest bin it’s purple and I know exactly what goes in that and my second smallest been to that is has a blue top it’s clear with a blue top and my second been to that is entirely clear and my second bin to that that hold all glass fragile glass items pretty much entirely I have two bins that hold entire glass one is a clear tote and one is gray and I have to have my totes in different colours so that I know what totes hold what now my Christmas tree I have a 4 foot Christmas tree and Dad unfortunately had a bin that it was in last year but it is not going to be in this year and I had to switch and now I have to buy a bin for that tomorrow and it needs a new bin I don’t know what colour of big my dad‘s gonna get for me maybe it’ll be red maybe it’ll be blue I don’t know but I do need another bin for that but yes I understand what you’re saying with the whole oh keep it all the same colour blah blah for everything yeah it looks aesthetically pleasing and whatever it may be to you that’s organized but to me I would be confused as fuck even with it labelled I would be confused as fuck like literally the only way I remember what bins are mine and what Christmas decor is mine is by the colour of the bins themselves literally that’s how I know that they’re mine because even my mother because I live with my parents and I’m 22 years old and I decorate my room for Christmas and my mom decorates the house and if my bins were not all different colours and hers were not all blue I would not know what bins were mine and what bins were my mothers if I had the same colour as my mother even if I had all purple bins are all clear bins or whatever the case I would be as confused as fuck trying to find all my Christmas decor I’m sorry that would make me so confused because I literally because of my low vision I go based off of the colour of the bin and that’s how I know it’s mine literally because yes I can read and stuff like that but a lot of times I just know that it’s my Christmas items and my Christmas decor not because I buy the label it’s because I just know that’s my brain because of the colour has a different colour top or the bin is a complete different colour from my mothers or whatever the case is it and I have to have my bins different colours because my mom has all blue bins and mine being different colours it helps me and my mother because my mom decorates the house for Christmas and has her own Christmas decor but I also decorate my room for Christmas and have all my Christmas decor and the thing with my mom and I is that we do do a bit of the same theme and we do have some things that are very cohesive and they’re like playing off of each other other pieces that play off of each other very well but we also have our theme a little bit different from each other we both do the silver blue and white theme however my mom does her theme silver blue and white but she does have coloured village pieces I to have coloured village pieces however I have less than my mother and most of my pieces are gold or they’re little bit coloured but mostly gold and white or Silver and a bit taller than stuff like that but literally how I know my mom‘s bins from my bins is by the fact that mine are all different colours and horizontal one cohesive colour hers is all blue and mine are all different colours and different tops and that’s how I know it’s my bins and they belong to me and that’s my Christmas decor and literally because I live with my mother and father it’s the only way to know whose Christmas decor is who’s because I have my Christmas decor and she has her Christmas decor and we both have a white tree we both do a white tree we both decorate in white so it does because we do do a bit of matching theme if you will we do kind of do a matching theme we do play off of each other she does white silver and blue that’s her main theme mine is white silver blue and gold and that’s my main theme and so if mom’s bins are all one colour and then mine were all one colour somebody would get mixed up and think it’s somebody’s been like my mom would grab one of my bins and think it’s hers and then I would grab one of her bins and think it’s mine and we both have a village with I have a built glass village with different pieces from my mom‘s and she has a glass village with different pieces from mine however we do have pieces that play off of each other better quite similar in style and so yeah I have to have multiple different coloured bands and also that’s how I remember all of the bins that I own and which ones are mine because I’m a visual Impairment I do have low vision so I really do go off of colours the colours of my bins to know that they are mine I don’t really read labels too often because I can’t read them too well because a lot of times my eyes are tired so I’m not really reading labels to find my bins I’m more so looking for the colours of my bins the different coloured tops or the different colour of the bin itself to know that it’s my bin So no it’s not beneficial for everybody to have their bins all in one cohesive colour like that that are all white or all blue or all red or whatever the case because it could make someone very confused who is visually impaired
