I am 19 years old, still living at home, no car payment etc. But I have taken out at $10,000 student loan. Seeing all of these people with normal lives fighting their way to financial freedom has inspired me to go on this journey as well. Why would I not do it while still in my parents home. I'm so excited to make this commitment to be different and get out of that $10,000 student loan. Baby step #1 here I come!

To be truly money saving - toss all these 'products' and use a cloth with water - works just as well and its not trying to sell anything. Unbrand our lives from corporations who try to sell us things! Vinegar, baking soda and water! I love the Dave Ramsey program but I am not sure about the product placement in this episode.

Hi Diane, That is sort of what I am getting at. The video is entitled 'How to stop spending so much money' and the video promotes buying items that truly are not needed? A reusable cloth and some basic non-branded products would do the exact same job. It doesn't really sit right with me. Disposable, phone screen cleaners - seriously?

Hi Rachel, my family just finished vacationing (which we saved for ahead of time). We had no debt that followed us home from vacation, which is great. However, I realized that much of the money I spent on vacation was on gifts for others (a little something for my office mates, a thank you for watching the house, picking up the mail etc...) Do you think you could do a video some time on how to get away from the obligatory souvenir/gift without hurting peoples feelings or disappointing them. Thanks!

for several years I have kept a month by month spreadsheet documenting what we had in the bank, what we brought home in our paychecks, what bills we paid, and what we spent after bills.... one thing missing was other necessities such as one time bill payments, gas, and groceries. this past year I finally got it dialed down to catch those one time bills and everything we spent on gas and groceries each month. using this info I was able to calculate what we have left after bills, gas, and groceries and I was able to set a spending limit to where we could still clear an average target amount each month. I'm hoping this method will help me get my car paid off 2 years early this coming year.

Masking / painters tape works just as well at labelling food, much cheaper for an entire roll. E cloth system using no chemicals, creates no waste for landfill and can be used for cleaning windows, mirrors, glasses and all your screens.! If you really like the wipes for walls and scuffs cut them in half to make them last longer.

I've learned that rearranging my budget to compensate for my lack of discipline ALWAYS backfires. Hi Rachel, my favorite household product is blue painter’s tape. I use it to stick photos, encouraging notes, and decorations on the wall above my baby’s changing table. The tape doesn’t damage the paint on the wall, and it’s a quick and inexpensive way to decorate. I love looking at the beautiful display while changing diapers.

The ziplock space bag would be amazing for a total closet makeover!! Actually just a whole house makeover... we have way too many baby blankets taking up space :)

Microfiber cloths!! They not only save you money (I use them instead of paper towels) they clean so much better than paper towels. My furniture has never had less dust and looked so clean.

This episode was so amazing! their story was so inspiring! I’m just starting out my emergency fund and sold a lot of my clothes and items around the house - it feels good! The household products we probably use most in our place is glass Tupperware! I find it at TJMaxx for pretty inexpensive!!

I love to use Norwex cloths, cleaning products, towels, etc. They reduce chemicals in our daily lives and are very $ saving products. With 2 year warranties and 60 day refund policies. You can't go wrong. Wonderful products. Thank you for this show.

my favorite household product - Mrs. Meyers Lavender Multi-purpose - we all have to clean so why not make it smell good as we do it. Makes me okay with cleaning more surfaces then 1 or 2. Kids loving it too.

I like this woman, She reminds me of my best friend, I was antisocial man, she was social butterfly so I clicked so well with her, She was my only friend I could make and have easier time with, I miss her so much, This girl is like her, I need a friend like that in my life. I feel so lonely after she moved

Rachel, you and the rest of the Ramsey Solutions family are incredible inspirations to me. Thank you so much for doing what you do. My favorite household product has to be the Magic Erasure! I've actually used them many times to get scuffs off paint (or marker, pen or paint...I also have two little girls) in the past. I've not heard of the Behr wipes until now, so I'm really excited for those!
