How to stop smoking WITHOUT FEELING MISERABLE (series) - Introduction
It’s Rishi here from MWR.com and today we are starting a new series - how to stop smoking.
The aim of this series is simple - it is to help you stop smoking without feeling like your life is miserable every time you try. Think about it, the number one thing that prevents anyone from quitting smoking is that every time they try, the craving is SO intense that it becomes all they can think about. You can’t work, you feel irritable and before you know it, you tell yourself that it’s better to just smoke than be such a worthless human being who is unable to function.
The reason I’m doing this series is because this is something that I had struggled with for many years, until I was finally able to quit. And when I did quit, it wasn’t some dramatic type of quitting - it almost felt like it was no big deal.
The problem initially - that was stopping me from quitting was that I was trying to do it all at once. Cold turkey. Every time I tried to quit cold turkey - I failed. And that made me feel worse about myself. Im sure you’ve been there too, right?
So what Im sharing with you in this series - is not rocket science. It’s a simple strategy. Anyone can do it. If they follow it.

The focus of this strategy is going to be - being kind to yourself. Going easy. Going slow. Giving yourself time.
Since the main reason we can’t quit is because we can’t deal with the cravings. We will speak a lot about this. How to easily get through cravings, and specific practices you can do that will make the cravings no big deal. Ultimately, if you can become stronger than the cravings, and they are ‘no big deal’ in your mind, then nothing can stop you from quitting.
Then of course we will speak about related things like substitutes, should you use nicorette, drink alcohol, should you vape, etc etc.
