How To STOP FUNGUS In Your Lawn Before It Starts

Can you tell what the high and low rate for both are. I usually use the most common higher rate for all the different fungus they protect against with a 80/20 surfactant. Could I get away with the lower rate with a 80/20 or are you referring only to the natural adjuvant giving you longer use per lower rate?

But then you got to use the ph thing, I had bad experience with those things when I set up an aquarium, do you have a video for calibrating them. If it can save me some money using lower rates I will look into it, I have 41k yard so all the things esp. fungicide can add up, then factor in being in transition zone in AL makes this an expensive hobby trying to keep as much alive during the summer.

I have 3 5K square feet sections of turf just like you. I've always used granular fungicide (Headway G) instead of spraying with my 4 gallon backpack because unless I'm mistaken all of the fungicides call for more carrier (water) per 1K feet than I care to put down with a backpack. But, clearly this approach seems to work for you. Perhaps I will give it a try. It will be a lot more cost effective than granular treatments.

Perhaps the bottom line is using the "Goldilocks Rule." for summer app. of (N) with some extra (K). In NoVA my patch is hanging in there using the above. Not too little, not too much. We'll see.

If the turf grass is already affected by a soil borne fungus such as the one that causes summer patch, would it make sense to apply a proper systemic fungicide without adjuvant and water-in immediately to push the fungicide to the root zone? I understand the systemic fungicide can be aplied with adjuvant and fine droplets to be absorbed by the grass tissue - and eventually get to the roots. But I wanted to understand what alternative will likely provide the fastest curative results. Thanks again.

Re-watching to learn from my mistakes, do you repeat this fungus preventative? (Is this all in your lawn guide?)The one i use focuses on fertilizer/seeding schedule only. This year things were great but then I got beat up by brown patch and now army worms. Hope all is well sir.

Fungicides will have reapplication rates in the label. Most will be every 21-28 days for home lawns. Azoxy and propocanizole are both 21-28 days.

Army worms you'd need to treat for in the spring to prevent them. Common products would be acelepryn or imidacloprid. There are curative products as well. Water them in heavily.

All this talking I guess is fine. All the dollars tuff as to cost of chemicals youruding is good for those who can't think of cost. What is " missing" is being able to actually understand what chemical to use on fungus or whatever!! Seems you would show name on the screen so us that can't actually understand or even to be able to say the name after supposedly hearing it. Printed on the screen and leaving it up long enough to write it down. After listening to you talk about I UT petunias length of your two different grasses I have no idea still what to get for fungus on my fesscue?? Just a thought I'm sure all the others got this figured out but I dont. Thanks, Jack from Tennessee. Some are slow from Tennessee.

Jack Danford -- There are many many web sites & University Studies on any subject you want to learn about. Just google a Fungus or a Grass Problems or type in a chemical name you see or here about on any number of videos like Pete's & others. You should have about at least one hundred sheets of material printed to read, study & continue googling to learn more. You may spend many hours, weeks or months before you decide what your lawn issues are & what product you want to purchase. Your best to buy the one gallon or larger size due to cost. It is a process that will take years just to figure out your lawn alone & your never done learning & it will never be perfect but way better than anyone else's on the street.
