How to Start Your Own Sneaker Brand, Plus the History of Nike & adidas | From the Ground Up

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

We live in an age of start-ups, from apps to products. That includes sneakers. In this episode of FTGU, we go over how smaller brands make sneakers, and what you need to know if you want to break in the game. To put things in perspective, sneaker editor Chris Danforth also breaks down how companies like adidas and Nike also began as small businesses before becoming the sportswear juggernauts they are today.

Hello, i´m from mexico, and it says the true, i own workshoes manufacturing company, the easiest part is th design, the wholesale production is tooo difficult, we have like 10 years in the market, and we still making only workshoes because change the concept, infraestructure, materials, all our process is costly, and we prefer to move in our line changing only some pieces or making it on the same last, here in mexico it will cost us like $2500 USD to change our manufacturing process, for us is not a ton of money but it is a quantity that makes sense, for starting a bussines in mexico it will cost from $15000 to $30000 USD, only buying the basic machines and materials, and you must add the costs for training people doing this job, now you can understad the difficult of making a custom shoe

Start by having a direction, put your ideas to paper, find a manufacturer (local or international), next is a freight forwarder and customs broker then your product will be in your hands. Give yourself around 2-3 years especially when starting out from scratch. It’s an amazing journey, go for it.

They were making outsoles centuries before the Cupsoles where first popularized. You can build a sole from leather, eva foam and textured rubber for the bottom. You can make the look part of your design or you can wrap some thin leather or rubber around the sole and cut away the excess if you want to hide it.

One needs to be kind of Rich to start their own shoe brand. But they leaving out important info like collabing with bigger factories like Nike and Adidas one cannot start their own factories unless they really rich. Yes one can make one shoe at home and advertise it, hopefully bigger companies will notice it and allowed their factories to create, a partnership deal but still you need like $50,000 to even do that, you can try selling your design artwork that's another way of getting through. There are many loopholes you have to research there's ways around what these guys talking about in the video they holding mad secrets.

@@Oghene_Million Hi, thanks for replying. I'm gonna be 100 with you, just like above. Starting out with designing shoes to me is not so much of good move, because you wanna build a brand that can easily grab attention first and that my friend is way of t-shirts, hoodies, hat's and jackets because really in all honesty "the competition is extremely low" with t-shirts and it's the most sought out period! because people look forward then down. Now when it comes to t-shirts yeah you can get a t-shirt printer for home but you only can print so many making a couple of dollars out of like 50 shirts or you can collaborate with five to 7 figure dollar factories that can produce thousands a week. To be honest I haven't really started anything yet, I'm just knowledgeable so when I do start it I know what the hell I'm doing and I don't mind passing advice.

God bless, thank you for your work and effort. Have a blessed day. Jesus died for the world to be saved. There’s a lot of worries and burdens in this world. Come to Jesus and find rest and salvation. He is our hope. Jesus is forgiving of our sins/wrongdoings, if we should repent and ask for forgiveness, and through God giving us strength; no longer do what is wrong(sin), but seek to do what is right and good. Repent, trust, and believe in Jesus and be saved. God bless, and much love. John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
