How To START Your DOWNSWING
Спорт
Ben Hogan was the master of the game and he explains in his book how to start your downswing. As a follow on to my previous two videos this one takes Hogan's golf swing further from the top through impact. You will instantly learn how to start your downswing and how to add power to your golf swing.

For a golf swing that is CONSISTENT, provides a flat left wrist, compression, lag and more. Steve's EUREKA GOLF SWING is now being implemented in 52 countries taking the golfers game to a place that allows the body to turn, the flight to straighten and compression to become a reality.
The starting place is the "iron swing series" offering the set of the Eureka Golf Swing canes and a step by step tutorial of the full action.
REMEMBER: as Steve says, "There is a difference between opening your stance and aiming left".

That tip is gold. It's been a long time since I've read Hogan's 5 , but it still stands up today.
Steve, your understanding of Hogan amazes me. Can't get enough of your lessons. Bob R.
The Hogan series has been eye opening ... please keep them coming =)
Steve, gotta say this is a brilliant series, Hogan was a fantastic ball striker. I always love your content but this Hogan stuff is the best, keep them coming 👍
All power to you man: priceless info! And a most creative, demonstrative video. Thanks from a grateful old Aussie.
One of the best golf teacher 👍
I was given the book as a present earlier this year, an interesting read, but your videos, have changed theory into practice. Thanks
Please keep the tips comming Steve , great stuf

Steve, your last three videos is basically all I need to know in golf, thank you so so much!!!!

This is possibly the most important golf swing video I’ve watched (and I’ve watched a lot). I really feel you are putting the pieces together with this Eureka/Hogan/Trevino combination. Very exciting. You are an excellent teacher - succinct explanations of a highly complex process.

Really well done. A super understanding and making it simple
The driving range will be full of people doing the belt drill, beware 😂 seriously a great explanation of starting the downswing video Steve you generate some serious clubhead speed
Brave man with those last two shots. Awesome content Steve.
the hogan book was the first book i got in 1980 and i just had it out last night. i'm gonna try opening up my stance a bit, thnx.
When I first started playing golf years ago I had a baseball swing and was spraying shots everywhere. After a lesson and by chance the pro showed me the right elbow tight to my side and a low and slow take away. At first it felt awkward but the results were fantastic. I suddenly was striking the ball much better with better aim. You're onto something with the Hogan swing. Stay with the series it's important to a lot of golfers out there.
I have to agree the last few videos have been a revelation. Really tied up some loose ends in my swing
Excellent demonstration of hips leading and hands following. Gives me a good thought for proper sequencing. I fight early hands
Thanks Steve! This got applied to my midday practice session, it resulted in very consistent shots. It made me realise I was trying to turn my shoulders too much, as soon as the lead arm breaks down I was turning too far. That knees action really helps. Thankyou.
Great series Steve, just what many golfers need “simple swing thoughts”.
I love Steve Johnston videos and this one, which I just found, is my new favorite! He keeps the swing thoughts so simple and easy to understand. I think he is one of the best instructors out there!
Steve another great session. Thanks so much.
Your Hogan videos are great, thanks.
As a coach this is the best video series I have seen. Well done Steve. I am a massive Hogan fan👍
Awesome video Steve, apart from introducing Hogan’s pattern, your repetitive and simple explanation really brings home your message quite effectively. Thanks a million for sharing your knowledge and expertise.
Absolutely Steve! Being a Hogan devotè, the more Hogan the better! Cheers Steve! MB
You are awesome 👌mate.. This video has turned my golf ⛳game around.Hats off to you Sir..
Great series of videos! Can’t wait to put it into practice.
Love this series. Brings the book to life. Thanks
Steve, thanks so much for your material. After running down many, many KZread rabbit holes your videos make the most sense. Already helped make a big difference in my swing recently. Looking forward to following you. Good man

Loving this series!! Helping my swing shorten up and added power! Great work
the golf instruction in this video worked magic with my swing. Well done Steve!
Love this series! Keep em coming. Would like to see the driver, hybrids, and woods incorporated into future content.
I have been playing for about 9 months and have tried a lot of swings but stayed in the 90’s. Read hogans book and watched these videos and over the past two months I broke 80. It’s unbelievable
Loving the Hogan Drills, keep them coming
Very much enjoying this hogan information. Very helpful! Now feel able to start rebuilding a bad over the top swing.
Absolutely fantastic Hogan series Steve suberb could watch them for years as I have studied all the old time golfers myself cheers Peter
Loving the Hogan series Steve. Your video on only gripping with middle two fingers only worked a treat. Best I have driven the ball all summer down here in NZ!
Love you're channel Steve, hogan had the best swing going, a true thing of beauty.
Great video Steve and helps make it more real and shows how to feel the moves that Hogan advocates 👍👍
Great stuff ..keep them coming.!
Love the video! Keep up the Ben Hogan tips!
Fantastic video Steve !!!
Steve, I have really enjoyed your Eureka & Hogan vids. Could be a real game changer. Thanks
Thanks for this Hogan series Steve. Was round at the range tonight and have never struck my irons better. Great feeling.
These Hogan videos have been very helpful. Could you do one more that talks about the wrist set timing and release incorporated into this swing technique
Loving this series of videos Steve. Now putting my elbows into the position you’re advocating, not hit the ball so consistently well for a long time. Now got to try and get the hips working. Keep up the good work Steve.
Steve, best instruction on you tube, excellent Hogan series. well instructed, easy for me to follow. Keep it up.
Good stuff from across the pond!
Second best use for a belt I’ve ever seen.

Picked up the book again after watching this series…great stuff!
Love your Hogan instructional videos. Just amazing and invaluable for me as a beginner
Love the belt drill, will be trying that tomorrow. Chris Hemley
Steve, I love these Hogan tips. I've got the five fundamentals book, but your videos really bring it to life. Also love the Scottish banter!
Absolutely superb stuff Steve 👋👋👋
Steve, great video. Quality instruction, well explained, with a bit of humour. Keep up the great work and thanks.
No one had ever demonstrated about the belt tension until you did. A missing link there. Cannot be Hoganism without it. Thank you.

Golf swing simplified with the Hogan method...big help..Thank you Sir.!
Steve, that is a great demonstration. I will incorporate that hip-Shoulder-arm movement into my swing. Thanx
This is very good. It’s helping me work and I appreciate what you’re doing with the hogan fundamentals. Well done.
Class teaching Steve 👏👏Many thanks
Brilliant! Very well explained
Steve So good to explain this!
Loving the Hogan content, keep them coming 🙌
I'm really liking the Hogan tips.
Great stuff here. Exactly something I can use.
Superb training concept Steve. Will really give the feel of hips pulling the shoulders creating lag. Loving the Hogan stuff. Eureka is about to explode.
Very good. And fun to watch
Excellent video Steve
Pure gold 🥇
Another great video. I love the Hogan content.
Awesome videos. Thanks
Fantastic content
Very good instruction
Great video again. Have started to incorporate the Hogan tips into my swing. Keep them coming. Tips on manoeuvring the ball using the Eurka swing would by handy. High, low, left to right. Cheers.🥂
Awesome vid this Steve, greetings from Dumfries, hopefully get to meet you next time I’m up at cardrona
thank you sir...great stuff.
Superb, Steve. Fascinating when you think how the principals of the golf swing are unchanged despite all the equipment that’s come and gone. Wish I’d focussed more on the swing and less on the gear!
Love your advice Steve
Loved Hips move the arms!
What a great find your channel has been. The Hogan stuff is simply brilliant along with thinking of shoulder turn more as lat turn, swing feels so much more solid with those thoughts. Top stuff... Off to see if I can find a video to help with the short game now 😉
Love the hogan videos!
Love it Steve 👍
Steve, great video series on the Hogan swing. I presume this would be the same with the driver setup as well
Great vid Steve
Your expertise as a PGA professional and bringing to life visually what Hogan was textually attempting to explain is leaps-and-bounds above anything else. Please consider doing this video for each of his book's chapters so that we life-long Five Fundamentals enthusiasts can ascertain where we've erroneously misunderstood/misapplied Hogan's teachings. You're tops... thank you!

Very well done.
Awesome instruction
Really love the Hogan series. My ball striking has improved quite a bit, I feel very connected and the compression is great. I was struggling with some hooks and was concerned I was not coming inside enough. I will try dropping my hands after starting down with the hips and see if that helps out. Cheers
