Thanks Ben. Just bought a used 2023 Rally Pro 1200 with the fob and keys and nobody mentioned anything about the hidden start option. That's a potential game changer right there.

You can't imagine how much I appreciated this. The manual says "under the passenger seat." They should have said under the fender. And the illustration was worthless - I had no idea what I was looking at. I have an GT Explorer, but the same applies. Thank you!

You are very welcome!!!

You can simply hold the key on the outside of the motorcycle under the passenger seat. So you get to the contact point and the ignition at the same time.

I also managed to start mine by it placing the key at that spot to the outside so essentially you could be siting on bike and start it.

FYI you don't necessarily need your spare key to do this. The fob has the same chip the keys have. Just use your dead fob like you're using your key.

Thanks. I've been having issues with the fob not working if the outside temp is under about 40 degrees. I was having to resort to the emergency startup but was holding the fob in the wrong place. Thanks for the visual confirmation on the correct location.

Great place to out the receiver, under a mud guard right next to a boiling hot exhaust. Well done Triumph engineers. At least put it in the other side, or better still how about allowing the immobiliser to be disengaged by entering a code?

You saved me tonight! THANK YOU!! I thoroughly washed my bike tonight from a day of dirt n mud. I pressure washed underneath the back fender and then my key fob didn’t work. Do you think when it dries out, my key fob will work? Or do I need a new battery? Thanks! Darin

Will this work when you lost both FOB and Cut Key .. I am Lost both FOB and CUT key .. just get the new Kit from Triumph, But Than i Need To Pair the Key with The Bike …

May I ask, what about opening the electric lock fuel cap when no keyless fob?

That really convinced me on getting a keyless bike. You only need to crawl under the back fender to get your bike started. That's way more convenient than plugging a key into a lock. 👍🏼

🤔Uh not quite. This is only a back up security feature if the fob dies. The point is to keep the FOB in your pocket and the bike starts right up.

What about the 2018 model? This is the latest version and doesn't help me 😢

I guess I never received my keys, I was only given the FOB.

Hello 😊If you purchased your bike new it should definitely have 2 additional keys. Make sure your dealership did not withhold them from you.

@benattwiggcycles I went back to look and they were in the Triumph Binder that I was given. Also had some lock tumblers too. The Dealer never mentioned any of that.

@@mikemills5144 Yay that’s awesome! Yes you should also have 3 tumblers matches to your keys so you can have panniers and top case installed as well.
