You can open ISA account for kids with limit of £9k per year. also, you need good idea of share trading if you directly want to invest in S&S ISA. You can of course choose to put in some reputable funds etc but that too requires significant judgement and risk

Vey good video and thank you so much for this. Please can you make a video regarding the process of handling finance in India after getting British citizenship. For example, if someone has mutual fund and how to legally transfer those money to UK before getting British Citizenship. Also, if it is possible to own a property in India or hold indian bank account in India after getting British citizenship? Thanks.

yes you can.. check withdrawal terms when you signup

1. Have opened one ISA account in HSBC ( LOY_ISA_Adv) ( In OCT 2023) and deposited 20000.00 GBP and withdraw 5000.00 GBP in March 2024 . 2. I opened one more Cash ISA in NatWest in March 2023 and deposited 20000.00 GBP 3. Have opened one more ISA account ( march 2024) and deposited 20000.00 GBP and withdraw all amount in one day in Halifax . Here my question is can i have any tax issues or penalties from HMRC as i have two ISA accounts with 20000.00 GBP amount in each account ? Requesting for your kind advice

for Indian ETF better to invest from India, don’t think in ISA you can invest in Indian ETF

@@HumTumInEngland there are certainly Indian ETFs available like iShares MSCI, xtracker nifty. I would personally want to invest in mutual funds from India but that is counted under income tax not capital gains tax in UK.

Could you share some banks offering 7-8% interest as you mentioned for reference?

If you don't need access to your savings/cash, then you could invest via putting into a private pension......but you won't be able to access it until you are 57 i think (currently 55). If you are a tax payer, then government will top up your pension by 25%. Eg if you pay in £1k, they will give you £250 to top it to £1250.......but remember you won't be able to access it until retirement.....and please update beneficiary details , this is so it can be passed onto children/family in the event of your demise.

I have done it, you can request a transfer within the new pension provider and they will contact the old provider to transfer it out.

You will not pay any tax on ISA income/gains.
