  • @JohnsonsSmallEngines

    Thank you, The reasoning behind John Deere and why they do what they do, we will never know but I can say they try and keep the pricing around the same on the particular line. Your 130 only has a 42" mower deck and the 140 has a 48" deck so to keep pricing close maybe that is why the 140 did not get a fuel gauge? I think you may have the quick 30 second oil change on your 130 and if you do you should take a look at this video, kzread.info/dash/bejne/dK2o2I-xiKfcmM4.html.

  • @JohnsonsSmallEngines

    @JohnsonsSmallEngines

    Жыл бұрын

    It’s up to you but I do know my local John Deere dealer recommends after the first 8 to 10 hours. Make sure you do the oil filter also. If your machine has the quick change oil and filter together? I would recommend getting rid of that and go to a normal set up so your engine will last longer. I have two videos on that but recommend watching watching my newest.

    Does the deck make that hard engage sound/shutter every time? Just got mine two weeks ago and cut once and felt like I was gonna break it when I had to engage the blades lol

  • @JohnsonsSmallEngines

    @JohnsonsSmallEngines

    Жыл бұрын

    You should try to engage the mower deck about half throttle before getting into the grass on a driveway. It makes that not as aggressive but to answer your question. Yes, the shutter happens. If you think about it, your engine at full speed is 3600 rpm’s and your engaging a large mower deck with three blades from 0 to go in a click of a switch. That is a lot of torque. That’s why I recommend trying it at half speed then speed up once the mower deck is running. If the mower deck shut off the engine, then raise the throttle a little bit more until it blades run, then take it up to full speed.

  • @JohnsonsSmallEngines

    If it just ran dry, make sure your fuel tank is full and you need to get the fuel pump primed again. They are normally self primers, but sometimes I’ve had it happen where the machine wouldn’t start. It may be intake gasket issues and if that’s the case, I would suggest using your warranty with only 10 hours on it or a faulty, fuel pump.
