Hey JJ, first off, this is clean content and we appreciate it. If you were just starting out your media empire (basically no followers), would you still add on the mail forwarding for $20/month? I can't imagine I'd have any mail coming in.

Good question! There are some things where you need to have a mailing address: marketing emails, invoices you send to customers, banks will ask for an address, etc. Maybe you don't ever get any mail sent there, but you'll need to provide an address...

Quick question...I notice they do not offer an operating agreemnent as part of their packages. They do however have a template on their site. Is that the same thing they would fill out for you from sites like, say, incfile, etc? that offer the service? We want to work with Northwest but we want to get the most out of our money for opening the LLC. Thank you for the link btw!!~

That's a good question. When you create an LLC with Northwest, they fill in their operating agreement template for you, so you'll have one when setting up LLC with them. I would imagine it's pretty similar to what you would get with incfile, legal zoom, etc. It's going to be a filled in template. Have you read through Northwest's free template? Does what is in there make sense and work for the business you're starting? If you need something really specific/custom that explains exactly how different types of decisions will be made with multiple members or a manager running the business instead of the LLC members, you might want to work with a lawyer to draft the document for you, but that would probably costs hundreds or thousands of dollars to go back and forth with a lawyer to create the document. I don't think these services are made for a high level of customization. Does that help? If you have any other questions, let me know.

I have a question at 5:39. Should we include our primary company physical address and mailing address, or should we use the address of our registered agent? If we provide our original address, will it become publicly accessible in records? Your assistance in clarifying this would be greatly appreciated.

Good question. The information you provide to the IRS for your EIN won't be made public. I don't have access to it now, but when you're filling out these addresses you can click on the ? and get more information. We use Northwest Registered Agent as our virtual mailbox so we can have any mail sent there. If you have more questions, let men now.

Do you get business documents sent to your like llc certificate licensing?

What kind of business is it? Is there a specific license you need to operate?

I accidentally canceled the submission for "information to be filed" I tried to change one of the address's after confirming. Now I can't find that file page again to continue. Do you have any knowledge as to if NorthWest will let me refile said information, or do I have to repurchase the LLC package all over again. Kind of an unusual circumstance. Awaiting their call, just not sure if I should try again and eat the $165 or just be patient and wait.

It takes them a few days to file things. If you contacted them right after you had the issue, i'm sure they will help you get it corrected before filing. You shouldn't have to pay again. Let me know how it goes!

what did you put the company mailing address and physical address for EIN?

I have a virtual mailbox as well as the registered agent service with Northwest so I use that address for everything for my business.

if i dont have an ssn and i chose the 200 $ open . am i getting ssn+ein or only ein?

They will help you obtain an EIN, not a social security number.

Which fees are higher? The link includes the registered agent service for free for the first year ($125 value) plus a lower filing service fee.

The company had a bad spot, requiring customers to increase EIN payments from $50 to $200 while using the service. And if you cancel the service without providing any service, you won't get your money back. I'll never use it again. It's disgusting!

Do you live outside the US? It's pretty clear on their website when you create your business, under optional items when you add EIN it asks if you have a social security number or not. If you have social security number $50, if you don't have one, it's $200.
