How To Spread Kindness with Chris Anderson

Can we turn outrage into optimism?
Generosity is at the heart of being human. It's how we've always co-operated and grown. Yet so much of modern culture seems to encourage the worst in human nature!
At this special event, Chris Anderson will share how we can reimagine generosity and spread more kindness in our lives and our world. As the renowned head of TED, he's seen first-hand the positive traits that lie deep inside us and their incredible potential to spread.
C‍hris will introduce us to Infectious Generosity - the idea that small acts of thoughtfulness can combine and ripple out in unexpected ways. He'll explain how you can cultivate your own generous acts - whether of time, talent, money, warmth or kindness - and then help them to spread. No matter how small, these acts of generosity can help to drown out the negativity and inspire millions when they're seen and shared online.
This event will be joyful roadmap away from a polarized, selfish society towards the hopeful, humane place where we all want to be. By taking part you'll get the inspiration and tools needed to amplify generosity and discover a more fulfilling way of life.

I am often sending little sparks of joy to friends/family. I have for some time wanted to give a little 'spark of joy' to tired mums, when I see them around town. As a mother of a 3 year old, I have a new appreciation for what the job of a mother entails and how they can often sacrifice their own hunger, fatigue etc for their child, putting childs needs first. I am hoping to take action on this today by buying some 'pocket hugs' and gifting them when a mum looks in need for a little pick me up.

Plus, thumbnail of the younger guy actually dressed as a WOLF in the ubiquitous stock trader shirt & waistcoat, in the CEO pose of ... Call me cynical.

Ooh, I will park this until I have time to focus on this guy. In a sense a kind of hero to me. But equally on a pedestal quite easy to take shots at... A WOLF who (having made his millions) is now older and is craving the compassion that he now observes is enjoyed by the sheep he spent his career EATING. Hmm...
