How did it go!?! I know painting black wheels silver has to be rough job lol.. I have some flat black wheels that I’m wanting to do in gloss or that black chrome kit you see everywhere. My little SUV they are on is a hunter green color so I’m kinda limited on colors I can do on them.. I’d love to have them powder coated in that transparent Copper. That shit looks sick..

Tape it up and cover with newspaper or plastic bags.

Think it's a good idea if i do the steps like this ? Instead of having to tape it so many times. -primer on the front part -primer on the inside of rim. -complete all the base coat on the inside of rim. -dry sand the primer front part. -get the front part of the rim done with basecoats & glass finish.

How long does this paint last on the rim ?

Like your vid. I have a white bug. 2015. I Plasti dip them white about 4 months ago. They looked nice for a few weeks but then they wouldn't come very clean. 5 coats white. 2 coats clear. I just peeled it off. How are your rims holding up. Clean up well? Durability?

You don't necessarily need the primer but it helps the actual base coat paint to stick better.

As long as you spray a good layer of clear it turned out great everything I washed the car.

Atleast 4 cans on the color of choice. I recommend dublicolor brand. Be patient on each layer of spray to avoid any paint runs.

Yes you don’t need to primer just degrease the wheel and use 600 grit and after scuffled with Ajax really good and clean up good use alcohol wipe and then paint

It held up great. Had the wheels for couple months. The brake dust came right off after a good scrub and wash.
