I'm talking about those ads your see pop up on your social media feeds, pop ups, and on TV about products, supplements, and devices that make over the top medical claims about what they can cure and treat, when unfortunately in most cases it's a bunch of BS and snake oil.
In today's day and age, social media platforms essentially provide a finely tuned listing or roadmap for these shady companies to target vulnerable people. People who are suffering from serious medical issues, mental health issues, chronic pain, addictions and allow these scam artist companies to prey on them with pseudo-science, lies, and predatory tactics. These companies prey on people's desperation and hope to make a quick buck. These companies are master manipulators at skirting laws, skirting regulations, and manipulating your emotions to profit off you.
