I’m still figuring this out as my friend gave me some fake ones and mixed them with mine, do borders if played with for years without sleeves lose a bit of the dark blue look but still look dark blue just not as it was unboxed new ?

The borders end up showing white. Initially the shade of blue may lighten up, but it quickly goes to white. This is most prominent on the edges of the card itself. Fake cards too easily find their way into collections and usually it's by accident as opposed to on purpose. We always have to be super careful when we get in collections. Especially when high dollar cards are involved. thank you for watching and I hope this was helpful!

Not that I have EVER seen, and I've seen a lot. However...that doesn't mean that eventually they may get so good that they are nearly indistinguishable from the real thing. Hopefully they won't. The point of counterfeits is to cheaply make a knock off to make money off of a name brand. So maybe they won't put in the extra effort. Magic the Gathering is another card game that has seen some scary good counterfeits in recent years. It's a minefield out there. The best thing to do is to stay vigilant, stay educated, show others what you know, and always be aware of where the cards came from, and if it's too good to be true, steer clear! If it's popular/valuable, it will be counterfeited at some point! Thank you again for your questions and for watching!

For Mega EX Pokemon, the best way is to look edge on at the edge of the card with a magnifying glass a look for a black line running down along the edge of the card. Check out Part 2 of my video on how to spot Fake Pokemon cards: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mIGMsa-lnNbTl5s.html

Get a magnifying glass and look at the actual card edge. The cards aren't very thick and this next detail may be hard to see. You should also see a black line in the middle running the length of the edge of the card. It will be on all the edges. If it's not there, it is a fake. If it is there, then it's probably a misprint or other odd printing, like a promo etc. I am eventually going to update this video to reflect this information. Thank you for watching!
