Normally amazon would never sell fake sunglasses because they would get sued but it appears that Pit Viper does not actually own the trade mark for the pit viper name so because of that fakes may be legal. Now I can not confirm that but that's what I have even hearing from people who say they have inside sources.

The "real" ones aren't even that great. I bought a pair directly from Pit Viper years ago and polarization coating rubbed off the lenses and they scratch very easily. These are basically cheap military sunglasses that they paint and charge 10 times what the normally cost, so the "fake" ones are probably just as good as the real ones

Honestly I kinda like how the fake sunglasses don’t stop when u use the rotate feature. This basically means you can wear the sunglasses in your hair with a simple rotation

As someone who owns multiple pairs of vipers, they are all "fake" they are made off the expired patent of the Oakley Blade, they are all made in China and more than likely by the same contractor. So save the money and get the "fakes".

Keep in mind low quality sunglasses may be dangerous as the layer that contains the uv protection may wear off leaving the tint only causing eyes to dialate without being protected worse than no glasses

I bought 30 pair for a dollar each at a store called black Friday lol. Sold each pair for 40 bucks at a flea market, sold out in an hour.

i got the real ones but i kinda regret it because they look so small on my face because the lenses only come in one size if they are real but if they are fake they are a lot bigger.

For what it's worth, I wear corrective lenses as I'm nearly blind. My prescription glasses were $500 and didn't come with polarized lenses. That's corrective lenses and some anti scratch coating. I bought the fake ones to fit over my glasses. They work for their intended purpose. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I tell people they're knock offs if they ask (not that pretentious). But they're so stupidly comparable - that I didn't see a purpose to spend another $150CDN on the style I wanted from pv only to inevitably scratch or damage them. I don't care about the box, they block the sun and UV completely. Work very well for cutting the water when I fish too. I didn't see a point in having a collective total of over a half grand on my face for my eyes. So $20 fake PVs it was.

I think mines real because my ear piece does not go down like the fakes and the box ain’t faded and the nose piease does not move and the p looks good

There’s a few fake websites that look a lot like the real website. It’s crazy the lengths people are going to sell the fake ones.

I got a pair of real and a couple fakes. If you dig into it you can spot them but meh they feel the same and work for me.

They're the same glasses. Exact same frame from an older military design. Army "SPECS" frame to be exact. You can get old surplus specs for like 8-10 bucks. Willing to bet the only difference is the lens material, which causes the shades to flex more.

Your cons for the fakes were kind of a stretch. Pit Vipers aren’t really high quality nor are they worth their price point.

Just bought my 10 year old a pair of fake ones off Walmart. No way am I buying a $90 pair of sunglasses for a kid just so they can break them or lose them and they seem very good for fakes and when you pull out the over the ear piece to make it longer it doesn't pop out like the one on this video.

But do the fakes protect against UV rays? I kinda doubt it. If the company is shady enough to plagiarize another brand then they are shady enough to lie about quality or just not provide it at all.

No I actually heard if you get the real ones it means you like it in the ass

Guarantee they both came from the same factory. For instance: The oil you buy at any store and any brand, came from the same oil truck and was bottled in the same plant. Your just paying an extra 10-20 bucks for a branded bottle.
