The vintage ones have the date code on the opposite side of the pocket. I have one from August 1987

Omg thank god I found this comment! I just found one from 1990 and the date code is on the opposite side of the pocket, most of the videos I’ve been watching the date codes are under the inside pocket

I just bought one from the 80s!! They have SA on one side France and then the year I was so confused because most 2000s bags have all the dates there

You always know the difference upon touching the leather , fake is a little bet hard but the original one is a lot softer …. No more code this time , they used microchips to verify authenticity and stitching in the area of the handle is different now . I know coz I just bought speedy 30 and it worth buying it , very usable for May daily errands❤️

Date code can be at the back of the pocket, can be the said of the trimming inside or can be a stamp on the leather inside. It depends on the design of the bag. Just bring it to LV STORE and pretend for restoration and you will find out straight away of fake or authentic

the quality of your recorded material is very poor, so you can not see what exactly you are talking about, work on zooms

The newer ones no longer have the date code inside. Just bought a new one in store and they don’t have date codes.

Your date code is manufactured in France on 2020 19th weeks if you buy it second hand take that to the lv store and pretend for restoration and you will find out if real or not because the date code is not an assurance of authenticity

Mrs C Hi there, these are authentic bags. The two bags has date code one on the right side under the flap pocket and the other is the left side. So how old is the darker colored handled bag ? I have one that looks exactly the same , only thing missing is the stamp on the outside tab , mine is blank but it has a date code SD0081. Has the lock with that stamp on the back . I’m trying to authenticate it for a friend, her daughter bought it but she has passed away. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you .

Code date doesn't serve as the authenticity of all Louise Vuitton bags, it only identifies for all the secondhand bags to bring that to the store and pretend to restore the bag and you will find out, coz ones it's fake they won't accept for restoration. Because the week they make and the year has numbers of the item produced on that particular week and year and the material can easily be determined based on their scanning material machine. that is proven by myself because my old mono bloi bag is been restored by LOUIS VUITTON STORE OXFORD STREET SELFRIDGE uk 🇬🇧

the date code isn't enough to know the bag if its real, you can spot also thru hardware, date code, material, stitching etc.

The real one starts with 2 letters and followed by 4 numbers- havent heard that kind of code you said just 1 letter---having the date code of the bag don't mean anything if its real- can spot if authentic thru materials, hardware, leather, canvas, prints etc.

amEAGLEBABY5 I agree just little bit but mostly fake ones wrinkle more, though I have seen 1 fake personally it is almost like the real one, but I noticed that it is more very light it was just unbelievably well copied, and I noticed the handle wasn’t even wrinkled but the date code and stamped were wrong, thanks for your comment here, have a wonderful day, take care...
