I have a older wallet the same print could you look at it for me to see if it's real?

I thought the one one the left was real LOL. And I was like look at the bad quality on the one on the right it doesn't even close properly. Then afterward I'm like ohhh yea it's firmer and better quality so it doesn't stay flat. Our minds are insane as my perception changed on each item I began to see them both in a different light.

Anyone know if LV uses glue around the seams on any of their wallets? I think I remember reading an article years ago about them never using any sort of glue or adhesive on their goods.

They use glue trust me. How could they not? Do people understand the making process. It isn't the cheaper adhesive other places use but they need to hold the pieces in place for perfect stitching.

I recently purchased the same wallet as in the video on eBay and the wallet is stamped ”made in France” but the date code starts with CA, which is a code for goods made in Spain. I wish I would’ve done more research before I jumped at the “deal of a lifetime!”

The real wallet bulging is just an aftereffect of frequent use. I'd bet that the fake wallet was purchased just for this video and was never used, which is why it's flat like any new wallet, including LV wallets.

Joshua, you've got it backwards. Jose is correct. I was just at the LV store while picking out a new wallet, and that's the first thing you notice when looking, is how open and rigid they are. It's hard to tell in a video, but the fake is made of a softer, flimsy leather-y material. The LV canvas is much stiffer and thicker, it's almost like a hybrid between plastic and cloth and leather A brand new and authentic LV wallet will easily stand on its side. I wasn't sure how I felt about it being so "open" at first, but now I love it because I can stand it up when I put it on my nightstand etc

I did quite a lot of research and found out that Louis Vuitton wallets no longer have serial numbers/date codes inside them.

Marwa They all have date codes inside the wallet. You need to open it up it's well inside the edge of the wallet. Not good enough video.

It means that it was made in the USA. Wallets made in the USA should come with a separate tag that says "made in the USA from exported materials" and they will not have a "made in.." label.

No, I have this exact wallet but it black and also the graphite/ blue slender wallet and they both say Louis Vuitton and under that it says Paris and under that it says made in France also every wallet I have bought from LV or have seen purchased have like a small looking business card that says Louis Vuitton and the material the wallet is made from!

We have Louis Vuitton bifold monogram that we bought in The Venetian Las Vegas, it has a card and the wallet is stamped “made is USA” it is authentic.

i have similar damier ebene wallet, and quality is poor (genuine one, 2014 paid 360 pounds in CH GVA LV). Fold outer layer cracks, coin pocket paint fks off, leaving some non leather material exposed, the see through window got matte in no time. You would see a pic how it looked after two years, you'd be surpirsed. So now ordered two from dhgate, for 1/5th of the cost. It just cant be worse than i original i have. It would be worse, if stitching would be un aligned. Otherwise better 24/7

Damn that's such a bad fake.I own a retail version and can literally instantly tell based on the colour and the fact it seems to be some cheap leather instead of the canvas material LV uses (and the fact it's as flat as a pancake.) Great video though!~

The flatter one actually looks much more worn in, while the real one looks much newer and crisper. I have seen some genuine ones that are quite old (close to 10 years) that have taken a big beating and eventually the wallet does lose its shape. Just my two cents compared to pieces I have

I got a fake LV wallet on the streets of time square, and it looks legit. Paid $20 cash. Nobody will ever know, haha. I do have an authentic LV messenger bag, and honestly the fake wallet looks better.

I was actually buying a real LV wallet in the boutique, to replace my Fake wallet, when I got to feel it and see it first hand, I ended up not buying it, honestly the fake felt somehow better and at a 10th of the cost, and as of now I just stopped buying Luxury altogether, not worth it at all

You do not know what you are talking about. Multiple wallets are commonly made in France or made in the USA. The ones made in France will say "made in France" while the ones made in USA will not have anything under the "Louis Vuitton Paris" at all. Also, the stitching on the authentic one is on point.
