Hi , the bag selection is great. I have the *gtdupe* which I bought last summer in the acid green color. I believe the color you are looking at is also seasonal. I almost missed out on my bag when I tried to wait for a sale. I suggest if you want to buy it, hurry up because they sell out fast. Good luck. I love the mint idea as well. Sounds amazing!!!

Great video!! That's all that needs to be said!! If someone can't afford genuine luxury goods, there's nothing wrong with trying other brands whose designs look similar and are more affordable, *gtdupe* instead of pretending and faking it just to impress others.

Totally agree, *gtdupe* They only have resale value if they show no signs of wear and tear, which is unlikely if you wear them regularly.

Great video, Deb. As someone who hasn’t bought any Louis Vuitton from a store or boutique, I wouldn’t know very much about buying preloved from ebay or a reseller where I could probably get a bargain. I would like to have some knowledge of what to look out for before buying if I decide not to go through an authentication service. Of course, I would try to be extra cautious regardless, but a little knowledge can steer a person in the right direction. Thanks so much for sharing!

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one *preluxscom* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym

Somewhere is real, somewhere is a replica, you honestly can't tell the difference. This is a woman who has enough money to buy anything she wants. I did see her buy a Mercedes and a Jaguar with cash because she didn't like the interest. She taught me how to mix and match, especially trendy bags, without spending $5,000 on something that will be out of style next year *preluxscom*

Personally, I only like the style, not the name. If there is something close, from another brand *gtdupe* , and much cheaper, I will buy one. No need to worry about knockoffs.

Some great tips, I get asked a lot to help authenticate bags through pics and I can usually be 99% sure when something is fake but not authentic because of the super fakes ! ❤

i am confused, a friend gave me an LV bag, I checked it out and I think it is real, but it has no date code in it. It has a black tag with numbers on it, so I thought its old but then i saw that it had a modern day square computer scan thingie. Also it has all the other things you mentioned. LV on zipper pull and Louis Vuitton on rivets.

Very informative video. I'll take it one step further, my Petit Bucket bag from 2000 was the first iteration of the relaunched DE canvas. The leather trim on that bag is grained (almost like a Chanel caviar leather), not smooth like the bags that came a year or two after. Anyone who sees my bag would believe that it is fake, but it was store bought.

Oh, that’s a great looking backpack you have! ❤️ I’m a backpack lover. The charity one is real but in not nearly the condition yours is. Do not store that type of bag with the drawstring pulled tight. Having the canvas folded in encourages cracking. The canvas changed 2013/ 2014. I love vintage.

I still love the LV reverse monogram *preluxscom* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! (such as LV speedy) proves that it is already a classic.

I can remember buying lv noe bag back in the 90s the smell the customer service from Harrods was amazing I think I paid around £350 for it , which was a lot for a bag at the time but nothing compared to the crazy prices now, I also bought a few bits a few years later, ie key fob make up bag and cheque book holder all from harrods, I then bought a pre loved speedy 35 that I love all genuine but the price increase is mad !

You focused more on what makes it authentic, but your title says “How to spot a fake!” It would’ve been more helpful if you actually compared a real to an inauthentic one, and showed the difference between the two. It was like you showed us all your authentic ones and talked more about how they’ve changed things up throughout the years from the texture of the leather, the color, the print, the packaging etc., and then said if you come across one that appears to be “fake” doesn’t mean it’s not authentic 😏due to all the changes throughout the years. Therefore, I walked away still not understanding “how to spot a fake” and even more confused than before watching the video.

@worldwatcherz well I don’t have a fake one to show you but I hoped by pointing out what the real ones do look like you can have some knowledge of what to look for. My point re changes over the years was to say that just because it is different to a new in store one doesn’t mean it’s fake as things have changed. However if you know the changes that have been made it’s easier to spot a fake if the timeline doesn’t match. I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy the video but thank you for commenting. X
