Was this a good thing or a bad thing?

On disrespectful error, a loving person, would say "I'm sorry, I'll try not to repeat." Wile a con-artist, will say bad things, make fill guilty the victim. I think it comes from the parents model, raised in violence, maybe change self-image messages?

Yep, I think you're talking about 'Gaslighting' Art. Definitely a tool of the manipulator!

I thank my Lord God for He has blessed you with Supreme Wisdom to expose all such darkness. Whether you are a born again Christian or not, God has you teaching all correctly on these most hurtful matters. I pray God bless you and yours as you in this have a divine ministry in helping others keep open eyes and ears like His Holy Word tells us to be "Wise as a serpent" and Gentle as a Dove."

the good part of when someone is acting to your face to extract or deplete you of your resources is you get to know your losses even after a certain time and you learn what to do next time when this happens,so next time you are aware and experienced so double bonus for you and you can literally cut the root of that problem because this kind of an energy is a succubant energy it never returns back what it takes as entitlement
