What I like about these connectors is that you can take the wires out later if you need too.

I agree that butt splices are great. I've used them for at least 25 years. They're great when you can't use squeeze on connectors, but a lot more expensive.

I have 6awg wire going to a hot tub that wasn't long enough by a previous person and they used twist connectors but I'm guessing this in the video are more appropriate for the amps that go thru it

Good Video !! Can Service Entrance wire be spliced with that type of connector or splice and does the splice have to be in a conduit body, and what effect does the connectors have on box fill?

Is there such a thing as two wires in 4 wires out ? I want to split the 3awg wires coming out of my breaker and into my kiln so that I can run two kilns (never at the same time) off of the same breaker. So, I would need to split each of the 3 awg wires coming out of the breaker to go to each kiln. Or, do I just use two lugs ?

What about using these in a main panel ? Let’s say you’re changing out older 100 amp panel to a modern hundred amp panel, but the new panel would require lengthening the wire?

Hey Coach - I know you have videos on this but I’m curious about your j-box size. 314.28(2)… are you landing in a 12x12? Guessing 1.5-2” pipe coming in from the bottom. Thanks!!!!

I was trimming some shrubs next to my house and accidentally cut the thick, solid ground wire that goes into the ground. Can I use this to splice it back together? Is that a 6 gauge wire? Thanks!

@@ElectricalCodeCoach It is typically a #4 solid copper wire. It cannot be spliced this way. You need to use a C-Tap copper connector that is crimped and once crimped properly, cannot be undone.
