I love spinning with my drop spindle for it's convenience and portability. Drop spindles are also a great choice if you're new to spinning yarn.
My choice of fiber prep when using a drop spindle are rolags. I've gotten better at both making them and spinning from them.

The drop spindle is how I started. I recommend a wooden one that won't break easily, as drop spindles often live up to their name. I still drop mine from time to time, but not as much as when I started.

@justaperson4656 How I wind it on is how I wind it off. I recommend a container so it doesn't roll everywhere or just hold it in your lap
Looks like fun but I think I'll just let you have all the fun and I'll stick to my crochet. The yarn is pretty

Cant even spin with my carder in the air without my wool and my will breaking 😂
I feel like you wouldn’t recommend this for a beginner 😅 looks cool though.

Quite the opposite, many start out on drop spindles compared to wheels.
