Instructional video on one way I like to fish for Crappie. This is called Spider Rigging. In Indiana you're allowed to use 3 rods per person. You want to use 10-12 foot rods. Place an egg sinker on the end of line followed by a fluorocarbon 2 foot leader. Then place a jig head with grub tail tipped with a minnow. I like to use Berkley Live Gulp Minnows. Pink and Chartreuse are common hot colors but it differs per lake and their daily preference. Once you figure out the color choice, switch all lines to that color and the bite will be on.
Place your jigs approximately 3-4 below the water's surface and move forward in the water at approximately 0.7mph. Try to stay in 8-10 foot depth water. This method works best with stained water. The clearer the water, the more boat shy the fish can be.
