    Hello, love your video, the explanation is pretty much clear and comprehendable. Although, i have one question Why is |-8 / 3| is equal to |8 / 3|? Sorry if the question is silly, i was really bad at math at highschool

    That part is to check whether the equations is valid. I'm simplifying both sides of the equation. On the left hand side, the |-8/3| is 8/3, as the absolute value of any number (positive or negative) is positive. For example |-5 | = 5. On the right hand side, the |8/3| is 8/3. 8/3 = 8/3 is valid, this verifies the solution x = -1/3 is a valid solution.
