Good info. There's a lot of options now, but as people with grid tied systems learned the hard way, when the grid goes down or it stops paying you for what you produce, you'll want more options than just grid tied.

BC Hydro put out a questionnaire to me yesterday about changes to our nearly 1 for 1. I’d be choked as I bought in 2017 and was counting on the agreement as it was. Crossing fingers.

You can do whole home backup with batteries which can't actually power everything....you only turn on the things you really need and leave the rest off, but you have the option to decide what to turn on or not and you're not limited by a decision made years earlier. If you turn on too many things, the battery will simply turn off, then some batteries will turn on again in a minute, others you have to manually reset....if you're not an idiot and can use the app, you can make sure you don't exceed the battery's limit.

The following are constant phrases in Joe's videos, "...California with their NEM 3", ".... utility as the last resort"

“Free, clean power”. 😂. Solar is neither free nor clean, unless you haven’t a clue as to how panels are made or disposed of and if you think you can get the system completely for free. Capital costs are still a cost of getting the energy.

This channel is exactly why solar is a scam... he isn't really caring about anything but the profits.... if he cared he would advocate correctly

So clueless. But this video guy keeps sort of "massaging what he says" - you know, as they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

“Free Power”. Yeah after spending 80k in panels. I got several quotes around that. Usual clickbait nonsense.
