In this tutorial, we're going to show you how to smoke and can Alaskan Salmon using our family's time-proven method. We'll guide you through the entire process, from cutting up the filets, to pressure canning them into delicious jars of protein that last for up to a year or more!
Although we used Salmon in this video, you can use substitute many different types of fish to suit your tastes!
This is an annual project that our family does to store an extremely nutrient dense source of food in jars that don't need to be refrigerated until opened. These tasty morsels make the best Salmon Dip in the world but you can eat them straight out of the can of course too!

    I would say it depends! We have an instant pot and we love that thing but the ones in this video are huge so we can do as many jars as possible because it’s quite the undertaking to do the process start to finish. Best of luck! We are going to be canning a lot more fresh produce hopefully this next summer!

    Hmmmm you said coho salmon are also known as red salmon, I thought coho were silvers and sockeye were reds. 🤔
