    Coaches' shoes are usually open to relax. Since they usually only do shuttle feeding and don't have much movement, it's quite okay. They tighten it when they are about to play an actual match. So all in all, the loose sholaces are just fine as long as you're not playing an actual game.

    hey aylex, my issue is when i swing, my elbow is not at the side of my face as in this video, it is far to the side...how can i fix this?

  • @boliussa6051

    @boliussa6051

    Жыл бұрын

    Watch his full swings when he hits the shuttle, to see where his elbow is, that, like with almost all coaches, is far more accurate for a demonstration than when they try to do each bit separately. So e.g. what he says at 1:45-1:53 with the description about "beside the head" is different to and not as good as what he does when he actually hits it. One coach online had a video years ago where they would even talk of their elbow brushing their ear, (and a lot of coaches do demonstrations a bit like that when breaking it down), but watch them hit it and you see the elbow is further out and not as far forward as they think or claim it is.. Watch them actually hitting it, he has examples of him hitting it..

    mr pakuntay, look up the difference between wrist movement and forearm movement, look up the difference between the wrist and the forearm, and look up the difference between a ball(which is what they use in tennis), and a shuttlecock(which is what is used in badminton). And look up pronation which the coach mentioned.

    @@ericchen9245 If your swing motion was like the hands of a clock, and 12:00 was above your head ... you want to hit your smashes at 1:00 and your clears at 11:00. That's an oversimplified analogy, but it could help.
