Sketching helps a lot. I'll admit, I probably sketch too hard myself. The lighter of a sketch you start out with the more time you have to "shape" and "carve" your figure before you do your final lines.

very awesome, i like how you showed us how your character has changed a bit as you drawned him. i got quite a bit of original characters i wish i could draw. but i am not very good at drawing.

Thanks! It's cool for me to look back and see how much I've progressed in my drawings. Well, I think it mostly takes determination and practice. You might not be the best at drawing, but you don't have to be. Everybody starts somewhere. Keep on drawing and you'll get better and better. : )

Take a drawing or art class on drawing humans. In high school I took an art class, one of the things I learned was mass drawing and proportions. It really helps so that your character can look realistic and not like a 5 year old drew it xD By "mass" I mean muscle and bone structure.

Nice vid man,this helped me draw my new superhero His name is Suncraud That's his name because he can live in and on the sun He is the brother of Deathstroke (From DC) He dresses the same as Deathstroke but he's a super hero instead of a villain he's got a shield which he can make to dual wield fat swords but strong,a sword,a knife,a Scar Assault Rifle,Dual wield pistols,two knives,a flamethrower hand,hidden blade,grenades and footjets or idk what you call it it's like jet packs but on his shoes I might post a vid on him but unsure I have more work on him so yeah I only started working on him today so not much so far but yeah thanks again man keep up the good work!

I already have a fictional character named AZRAEL. The hardest part of drawing my fictional character. Is is his position. And his accessories (Sorry if I spelled that wrong, I forgot how to.) I'm not requesting for you to draw my fictional character for me. Just wanted to share my fictional character too :P. BTW I like your style in drawing a character. Really helps a lot. Now I can draw the accessories on my fictional character!

Cool. In my case is I couldn't make a same character with a same exact face. It looked different every time I draw it.

for me, I have been drawing animals, so far my drawings improved over the years. from a crude wolf in 8th grade to a good looking cartoonish wolf now (junior in high school) but yeah it does take practice.

It varies. I don't really draw consistently. I do a lot of different other things, like making videos and playing bass, and some days I feel like doing one thing more than another thing. Thanks to my art class though, I've been drawing more often and improving hugely! : )

Awesome Character! Are you putting him in a graphic novel or manga? I myself am working on a comic book for a website that I hope to launch this summer. Hey, thanks for the comment! I'm glad you like my character. That does sound like a good idea for a tutorial. Haha, I guess the multiple parts can get complicated, but sometimes, I've got to divide them up. xp I've got a few requests to make first, but we'll see. I need to get back to drawing soon. : )
