    I used to buy rollerblade brand back in the 90s. Usually a 9, and they fit great. Since then I've purchased a couple of pairs, and they have been horrible fitting. I had a set of macroblades that would absolutely rub this one spot on my foot raw, then a set of Maxxums that just killed my arches. Finding good fitting skates has become a much more twitchy process. I'm in the market for another set since I just blew out my fusions that I've had since 1995. I think I'll try some other brands this time.

    I just got back into inline skates after a a couple years (over 10 years). Imnot sure if its me or the skates but whether I'm standing, skating and cruising along the skate always feel as I'm about to roll my ankle. It's worse when I'm walking in grass. I end up walking pretty much on the outer edge of my feet- with the skates on of course. Please help! 🙏 I really enjoy this activity and want to continue to enjoy it. Thank you

    You will need skates that allow for lateral adjustabilit of the frames. You simpl loosen the mounting bolts and slide frames the same directly your ankles want to roll. If having inexpensive skate, you may not have ones with adjustable frames. I'll link a video here. kzread.info/dash/bejne/g4qhtNOogNqqnNo.html

    I bought Impala inline skates which have same US size guidelines. Mine are 7, not curled up front and barely touching the front. But, when I skate my heel moves around a lot 💔 up and down and makes me lose balance. Will an ezeefit and thicker socks help this?

    I have a pair of skates and whenever i skate the frames hurt me right above the ankle. Is it due to the liner being thin? The frames are hard so when i even strap them, its loose.

  • @jonatanguitar

    I've been thinking about how to actually lace the skate, especially when using a hardboot. To me it seems that the hard plastic shell is way too hard to be bent by the laces, so the only practical use for them I can imagine is if I lace them all the way up to where the laces joins with the liner. I don't know, how do people usually do? All demos I've seen of lacing is with softboot skates.

  • @InlineWarehouseFitness

    Lacing still comes into play in hard boots. They work with the shell AND the liner that resides underneath them so they can work to hold things in place where you might not think at first. But they do help. thx

    I have fallen arches/ flat feet plus I've been sedentary long enough to gain about 50lbs give or take. I recently purchased some skates to have something fun and active to do. However I've been having difficulty skating for more than a few minutes at a time. I feel an almost fiery achy feeling in my feet where my arches would be if I had them, and it's difficult to tell if the linings just aren't wide enough for my feet or if it's a combination of that and me being overweight and out of shape. I really enjoy skating, despite the discomfort, and I really want to integrate this activity into the lifestyle that I'm trying to build; Are there any liners that are specifically recommended for people with wide or flat feet?

    Aftermarket footbeds (changing out stock ones for ones you do like) can perhaps help. You don't have to stick with what is in there. A lot of it likely is getting used to skating again. Endurance happens quickly, but heading out for a few minutes at first and increasing is fine otherwise. Lower back pain is common as well at first as muscles are being used that are not otherwise which is why skating is so good for you. Another thing folks sometimes do, is tighten their skates too much. That is common as they look for support and stability that way. Once more confident they loosen a bit and allow better blood flow. Not knowing what you have it is hard to say if it simply too narrow for you, but that is always possible with some models. InlineWarehouse.com

  • @InlineWarehouseFitness

    @InlineWarehouseFitness

    If length is an issue, there is not a lot that can be done as there a fixed amount of room at the toe to work with. I would think new skates with some more room for the toes will have you skating longer, better and pain free. InlineWarehouse.com

The arches of my feet burn and then in a few more minutes my feet get pins and needles throughout. I have Bauer xtra 5.0s. They lace fully and have a Velcro strap across the top of the boot. Other than the severe pain they work great. What can I do?

    Could be the arch support so changing out footbeds or adding a MyFit linked below. Could be lacing too tightly... Hard to say. They would have to be pretty old skates I imagine so it could just be a support issue. www.inlinewarehouse.com/descpage-908260.html

  • @InlineWarehouseFitness

    @InlineWarehouseFitness

    Manufacturer size skates so that at most, your toes will touch when bending over and striding. As stated in the video @ 1:44, your toes may touch and the determining factor is whether the toes will curl when striding. It should also be noted that sometimes the feet are not the same length, so this should be a factor on both feet, not just one. If you go up a half size, it may be too big and cause blisters or hot spots. Since you said your "big toe touches slightly", our recommendation is to stay with the size you have, but only you can really determine the best for your feet. To discuss this further, contact us via phone, 1.800.366.3070.

    To help filll up some volume you can try some ezeefit booties (come in 3 thicknesses). If it length that is an issue. it is a tougher fix. • @InlineWarehouseFitness

    @InlineWarehouseFitness

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@Dailey7 Eesh. Sizing is subjective so it is tough to say. If looking for the most responsive fit, then I would say yes. But I would expect my toes to be right up at the end. Moldability is mainly in the ankle/heel area and does not change length. The stretch toe will help but your toes will be using it. If it doesn't work, you could likely drop in a larger liner into the same shell later on. Sorry I cannot answer for certain, as your preference/comfort level will determine. I don't like my toes at the end so would likley go larger, but if I was a better skater demanding more of my skates that may not be the case.

    I would think that to be a good choice for that particular model. Be sure to try on for fit indoors by lacing/buckling, tapping heels to floor, and then standing and bending knees to mock skating fit. A snug fit gives best performance, but you want comort so that you can skate longer, better and happier. InlineWarehouse.com

    Try EzeeFit ankle booties found at InlineWarehouse.com to help fill volume in the skate for the ankle/heel issue. If toes cramped, the skate may be too small. There's not much to do if a skate is too small. Liner change maybe, but if the shell is small it is small either way and it may be best served to put money toward a larger skate instead. Regards.

  • @rollingiw

    @rollingiw

    5 жыл бұрын

    Different brands can be sized differently, meaning a 6/40 in one can measure differently than a 6/40 in another. So what Inline Warhouse has done is make it simple by converting all to standard US shoe sizes so that you can simply order your shoe size. Order 1/2 size larger for a relaxed fit, or the same as your shoe size for a performanc fit. A size 6 would be a 24.0cm in the universal US size we use on the site. If unsure of yours, simply look at the tongue on your shoe to see. So I would order a size 6.0 skate.

Adult skaters putting more stresses, especially experienced skaters, would like not be fulfilled in an adjustable kids skate even if it were to come in their size.

    Would depend on the brand, but yes... Sounds like a Y13 (youth) would the only way they would be smaller than a 5.0. Thank you for watching!

    I wear a size US 13(wide) shoe size and I did the foot against the wall measurement deal and according to the Rollerblade size chart I would have landed on size 12 rollerblades. I used to Rollerblade 25yrs ago and I remember using a 13. Since there's none in stores these day I blindly ordered. I went for size 14 Rollerblade Lightning Urban and they fit perfectly. No toe squash. The length isn't even the important measurement, it's the width of your foot in the front at the widest point. So my conclusion is go a size above if you have even remotely close to wide feet. US 13 Wide = 14 Rollerblade. Hell, I would go 14 even if you're a normal US 13 shoe and use the insert pads they include. Having cramped toes is the worst. So painful. P.S.- Wear wrist pads/gloves so when you wreck you don't scrape all skin off the palm of your hands like I did.

    Inline Warehouse recommends to order up a size if having wide feet. That's the only way to get enough volume in the shell. But it is NOT to be done for every model. Even within the same brand there are models that run big, small, narrow... So depending it could be two sizes, no sizes, etc... But yes... easy call on the wide foot = order up a size generally speaking. But shop at Inline Warehouse!!! www.inlinewarehouse.com/fitlc/skates/inline-skate-sizing-instructions.html

    Thanks for watching! It's only hard if not using the size charts provided on InlineWarehouse.com. Otherwise yes, it can be difficult. Different models, even within the same brand at times, fit or have different measurements. The one constant is your feet! So if getting a good foot measurement, and visiting the chart EVERY time you look at a different model, it is pretty easy as you can adjust accordingly. If a size 10 shoe, you may not be a size 10 in every model. That's a common mistake. IW then has free returns so if you screw up, just don't skate until you got the fit right and we'll get you something that works! Thanks again - InlineWarehouse.com
