How To Sing From The Diaphragm

This is how you ACTUALLY support your singing!
You can’t sing or support from the diaphragm like I explained in the video…
and you don’t need to be squeezing anything (for example the abs) to sing with support.
Rather, all support is, is just a controlled exhalation.
Squeezing your abs will only lead to tension which is super counterproductive for singing.
Feeling stuck in your vocal progress even though you’re practicing and working on your voice? That’s because you don’t understand what your SPECIFIC voice needs just yet! Take the vocal persona quiz (different from voice types!) and get a personalized training and warm up track for FREE!

Your diaphragm isn't a fully involuntary muscle. It's not the same as your heart. There are nerves located in the nervous systemthat make it so you can take control as necessary. If the diaphragm was a fully involuntary muscle, you wouldn't be able to hold your breath for any reason. It would just keep going, just like your heart. Even if you didn't want it to keep going.

I don't know. I've always tried to sing with the abs/stomach and it's messed me up. I've recently just started letting the diaphram expand before I sing and my singing is improving and becoming more natural and effortless.
