The problem is that a artist is gonna think like a artist not a business person so they coming in the game backwards you have to be business minded first then be an artist. Being a artist is gonna get you noticed being business minded is gonna make you money

@@abdur1914 no what casey was talking about if you want your a artist and you want to have full control over your music forming an record label can help your situation and it changes the situation if you want to deal with a major label your pretty much doing a joint venture instead of signing directly to the label and they taking your masters and whatever else just for a little advance that they give you so forming a record label gives you more leverage
