Here are my main tips on buying a 24" kid's bike and how the Cannondale Quick 24" Kids Bike compares in this educational kids bike review. This is a very lightweight option that sells through local bike shops and REI dealers. I do believe it is the best price to weight kid's bike you can buy right now.

Thanks for the kids bike review. I hope there are more to come over the next few years, as I'm about 2-3 years away from needing to replace my child's relatively new bike.
I’d look at the voom. The stem, and rack options are nice. Still looking tho. Nice write up 🙌🏻

My daughter rides the Woom 5, it is a great bike but almost $200 more than this one.
Scott Contessa is a really good value for a 24" kids bike thats a nice alternative to the top 3 brands. I built one recently and was impressed with it compared to the kids bikes I have built from a well known top 3 brand.

Scott for sure has some great kids bike, but I'd prefer a scale RC 400 or 600 with rigid fork, much lighter.

grip shifter should be a sufficient reason not to buy this bike. With some hardening due to obvious poor maintenance and sweaty hands, kids don't have enough grip strength to switch back up to shorter gears. Ask me how I know.
