    Great video as always. Thanks for the idea. But iff you shoot 24fps with 1/1000, how does it look when played 24 fps? Can you still use both the 24fps and super slow mo?

    if you gonna cut the apple anyways, it's easier to shoot it against the greenscreen.

  • @JesseDriftwood

    @JesseDriftwood

    Nope! This works great with most pieces of editing software now. I'm pretty sure even the free version of DaVinci Resolve can do this.

    Ok, is anyone else think of filming something at a deliberately slow frame rate (like timelapse speeds) with a slow shutter speed and speeding it up to get the tank on purpose?

    What did you use for rotoscoping ? Still waiting on auto for fcpx

    I've been using motionVFX mRoto plugin, and it's great for a lot of uses but far from perfect (and too expensive!). I think for the final shot this apple was roto'd in after effects, since mRoto was struggling with fine details on the apple.

    Great info. But, please do not wear your mic on your shirt. It really degrades the professionalism of your messages. How is this a trend with creators, it is stupid. Go ask you friend, Mark Bone, what he thinks about it.

  • @JesseDriftwood

    @JesseDriftwood

    My message has never been professionalism, but I get what you're saying. I also don't like having the mic in front, but somehow all of my lav mics except one with a locking connector have gone missing, so I didn't really have any options. But keep in mind, if its primarily just a tutorial aspect, then seeing the lights or mics doesn't matter, its a production environment that you're watching, no need to hide.
