Well it was a tight fit but you can load a Kitfox taildragger aircraft inside a high cube box trailer as long as the door opening is wide enough. I was hoping for more/better strapping. The shipper did not arrive with pads as required, good thing we had some foam pads for backup. Hope it arrives unscratched! I'll miss this little Kitfox taildragger she's been a lot of fun for our family..... will this be the end of my Kitfox flying????????? Post your comments about my other Kitfox flying videos below. For the reasons you've outlined, we were kinda too busy to film. First I'll say the high cube was NOT my idea, I would not have recommended it for the same reasons you mention again. We were also told different dimensions as well as the trucker was supposed to bring all they were going to need, as though they had done an aircraft transport before. The video was done for entertainment purposes only - along with the language barrier of this going into Canada I'm amazed it worked out at all!
It's a high cube. make sure the dimensions are right for your plane - hold the trucking company to it, cause otherwise they'll try to show up without a wide enough truck. ~CRAZEDpilot

No video of the actual load? We went from a tilted flatbed to magically loaded. Given the airplane is 7'10" and the inside of the trailer is 8'2" I'd say there was a little "bump and grind" going on. Also, foam rubber may seem like a good idea but, without something between the paint and foam it'll scuff it. Stretch wrap works for a barrier. Also, van sides sway up to two inches. With the gear locked down tight and foam stuffed in between the wing and sidewall there could be stress!

Typical Kitfox 3 values are around $16-$21k above that and you can usually find a model4 starting around $24k with Rotax 912 80hp.

Thanks! I've been doing a little research about them. Do you happen to know what it cost just for the kit in 1993?
Im thinking you have a need for speed,maybe a rv.....
