The manual shows the is metal washer that goes over the print. The mugan shin kit is awesome though!

Cracking video although I use 6 shims on the small gears inside the cup, 2 shims on behind one gear and one behind the oposite if you know what I mean? Tightens up the differential mesh, makes them last much longer bro 👍

Hi. I Know I'm way late to the party. I just got back into the hobby, I just got the Kraton 6s. Was wondering if you have any videos putting together a differential as you talked about in this video, would appreciate a how to video on how to do that. 👍🏽

the mugen diff looks identical in size to the arrma diffs, do you know if it fits? I've heard the outdrives and gears fit in the arrma diffcup but nothing about the center diff itself

I have some play in my front and rear diff cups on my kraton is this the issue?

6:32 will 8x11x0.2mm or 8x10x0.2 shims work as well??

Questioni have two arrmas both v4 one Typhon 6s and a talion 6s I drained the diff fluid in both cars and noticed that my talion rear diff had a shim buvno the Typhon rear diff had no shim and it also seemed like the diff cups we're a little different in both vehicles. Are they put together but machines or does somebody put them together and add shims if that pertacular person thinks it needs a shim..

I honestly do not know the answer for your question; however, regardless you want to shim your diffs yourself to make sure they feel right. Don't depend on factory especially if you used it or super especially if you have problems. You should be able to put them back with what they came out with and be ok.

What about 4s kraton gear Differential shimming

There is a shim that alrrady come in between the oring and pin lol in the v5 atleast

Ok thanks, the reason I ask is I'm new to the world of RC, I purchased a few GPM upgrade parts for my kraton v4 thinking they where RPM upgrades :/ I haven't fitted all of the upgrades yet but when I do I'll test them and make a video review.. After purchasing them I saw a lot of negative reviews. So I wanted to get your opinion. I've spent the money now so there is no going back. Thanks for the advice and all the great videos, really appreciate them. Darren

@@rcplayer7581 use needle nose pliers to pull the gear off or tap it until it lets go. The diff fluid suctions the gear to the big gear

I just broke one diff outdrive of my kraton just by driving around. There was an AIR BUBBLE inside the steel.. WTF arrma

Good Video, but did you ever shim your diff in this way? kzread.info/dash/bejne/qnV4l9Osfa6od6w.html - the third version (new bulletproof version) - if not, try it and you will see the the diff runs very smoothly all the the time also if you but the outer shafts together, there’s no bad noise than.

I don't think it's safe for everyone to assume each diff will accept the same number of shims as everyone else. The best way is to add shims and test it, and stop when the feel is right. The only difference I see here is he puts a shim outside the diff which is ok, it takes away play and makes it smoother. I feel my process is the same despite the outside shim

The Rc Collaborative Jeremy Hopkins - you’re right, you have to decide how many shims you need on each diff separately. My explanation is for the Arrma V3 diffs (Outcast V2) - I don‘t know if you also need the outer shim on the Aluminum diffcases. Yes, your method is nearly the same as my method, you only don’t shim the outside. Try my version 😎✌🏻
