This INVEST acronym is amazing! It could change everything for my marriage. I have a long way to go with respecting, honouring and submitting to my husband, I trust God will help me want to and get better at this. But I feel so weak and so so hard to make progress when I have been shamed and not valued since the early days of marriage. This is exactly what I mean when I’ve told my husband i don’t feel a “safe” space with him.

Thank you very much for communicating theses principles here. You're ministry has shown me so many of my pitfalls in my marriage. The ideas here are needed and desired to be executed by me. I have been a terrible husband who has asked God for forgiveness and repented.

My advice to you sister is to go on a fast against the spirits of anger, abuse , unforgivenss and bitterness. We are in a spiritual battle and your fight is against the demonic spirits that are operating in your husband's life.Seek God he knows your husband, because he created him.SI would like to recommend a book called Fasting For Breakthrough and Deliverance by John Eckhart.I like to recommend that you check out Minister Kevin LA Ewing on KZread.I pray that God would reveal to you the root cause of your husband's behavior.Blessings

Lol this question right here demonstrates where we're at. In the Bible, the word wife and Virgin are the same thing. Can't marry a person that's already given their heart in the bed to someone else buddy. You can try, but it's not going to go so well for you.

Marriage should come before sex & yes you need to work on developing a friendship. Lots of prayer should go into waiting on God for a spouse, so you can recognize them when you meet them, that they were sent by God. Developing a relationship with God the father helps us grow the character we need to maintain lifetime relationships. 💙🕯️🙏🌹

Uhm, i think that a broken marriage sex comes first. In an emotionally mature marriage, you are already best friends before sex comes. When sex comes first sex can take the place of true intimacy or be left with fighting after the fun sex is done.

@@savageriverandthepoet6309 Sex itself fixes nothing in my honest opinion outside of a release of hormones. If sex itself TRULY were a relationship fix, the world would be fixed. Sex is hormone ruled. A woman can sex a man daily & it be just an appetizer. Unless people have some maturity & character a happy, long-term relationship cannot be had. Just my thoughts .....

I felt the same before getting married and almost called off the wedding but seeing counseling changed our lives. I no longer feel like he doesn't care and vice versa. If he doesn't want counseling that's gonna be harder and you'll need to buckle up. Your knees is what will change things either way: pray, fast!! I am sure you can also always seek marital counseling alone and explain your situation. There are a lot of help in church and around us. Humility is KEY though, God had to break us down and it wasn't easy but I am glad He did because He Lsays wants the best for us
