I have loved and used all of the Army Painter products for years. They have always had the painter, the hobby, and the games in mind with their products.

I use the Quickshade dip often, soft and strong tone. Excellent. I just recently got the wash set so looking forward to using.

I love the quickshade dip and have been using it forever. I get paint brushes from the dollar tree and then use them to 'paint' it over the mini. I know you want us to dip and shake but I just can't do it. Lucky for me, it works incredibility easily!

Big fan of Army Painter... Have you considered showing how Quick Shades can improve prepainted minatures? Just a suggestion. Looking at my collection and thinking, "Hmm, I bet Army Painter could make that better in seconds."

What is the Agrax and Nuln Oil equivalent dip and wash? Very interested in trying these.

Strong Tone and Dark Tone respectively, believe they have the same names for both dips and washes.

Regarding the Dip quickshade, I always found my can of strong tone to always be too much for my minis, even when I shake off the excess, turning them more into glossy brown shells. I have heard that adding mineral spirits in a 2:1 quickshade to spirits mixture thins it down enough to make it work, but I have yet to try it. Also, I haven't been seeing any of the dip cans anywhere at my local game stores or even on the website, is army painter discontinuing it?

Do you still water it down or use it right out of the dropper bottle?

Once the mini is painted and dry using acrylic paints, do you need to seal it before applying the AP washes?

You didnt show the end result :P I bought this stuff .... I was quite unhappy .. felt it ruined three of my models .. it was really overly gunky and too thickly varnished .. Yes I did all these steps and flicked it off.. even tried dabbing it off. I even tried pouring all the dip into a bigger container and tried thinning it down with medium and water .. bubbled up with the water, guess because it was too oiley. Eventually I threw it all away. I was wondering if I had received an old or bad can or something as I bought it from amazon.. so came here to see an end result .. but you skipped it! Seems like an intention skip... have a feeling my can was as it is.

Quickshade cannot be thinned with water or medium and must be thinned with white spirits for the best results. While it can be brushed on, its best results come when used with the Dipping Technique.

I went outside then spilled 2-3 cups of paint on my front porch. Trust your instincts! ... and definitely use outside.
