That's fabulous Debbie. Hope it looked great😀
❤❤❤❤❤. I that it's seamless. Gives it a designer quality look. I don't have any upholstery fabric so I'm using African print fabric with felt for the lining to make it sturdy and heavy fusible pellon for interfacing. Thanks for the easy instructions ❤

I have some left over ticking fabric and decided a clutch would be just right to finish up this fabric. Your tutorial was easy to follow and I absolutely love that you put all the measurements on one page. That was so helpful. Thank you

I made 1 today, it came out nicely, thank you! I didn't have any iron on stiffening, so, I quilted a thin cotton batting to the inner lining; it made the turning out a bit more difficult, but I like the extra weight. Thanks again! I love all your projects!

I love it! I made a small wristlet a few years ago . . . it was to carry odds & ends when in hospital w/ my son. I’ve gotten to use it so much that it’s worn out. This is better . . . perfect w/ divider and large enough for my phone. Thank you

Christine - a great project - beautiful matching seams - you should make more as I'm sure they would sell and even better with a long shoulder strap. Are you watching the Coronation tomorrow? I've got my bunting and flags hanging across my bay window - Long Live the King ❤🤍💙

Thanks Lesley. I wish I had more of this fabric to work with. I love the stripes. I might batch sew a few in another fabric this week. I'm looking for a new style in the shop. We won't be watching the coronation, as our shop is open all day over the weekend. There's always loads to do then. Will catch the highlights on the NEWS😀

I really need to make myself a small cross body bag (something like this); because, it is not safe for old women (like me) to shop anywhere today with a large purse on us. When I shop at our local Walmart, people follow me, take items out of my cart, and have tried to snatch my purse. If they can't see my purse, they may not follow and bother me. I really hate our local Walmart; because, it is not a safe place for old people to shop (it is too big and understaffed).

I bought a carabiner clip from Walmart, under 3.00. I attach it to my purse and then attach it to the cart. It works, also I don't walk away from my cart. I'm sorry they do this. I can be mean when needed.

That must be terribly frightening Arvetta. It happens here as well. I might have to come up with something that can be worn close to the body😀

I would suggest an even better idea. If your jacket pockets doesn’t have pockets big enough for your wallet, I have created pockets inside my jackets to accommodate my small wallet on one side and one for my cell phone on the other side. For warmer times I use a light sport vest with big pockets that fits nicely over a T-shirt.
Turned mine into cell phone cases...I will try to get 15 for them....looked so simple, very little fabric...but I had to watch the video many, many times...

That's a great idea for the cell phones Kat. I often have to rewatch my videos to remember how to do something🤣🤣
Hi! I’ve just found your videos and I’m impressed. I like your style of teaching. I do love this bag. I am wondering if it might be possible to slightly box the bottom of the bag to give just a tiny bit more room….no more than an inch width. I’m guessing it won’t work because of how the layers are once you do the side seam. Your thoughts please…?
@ChristinesHomeAffairs

Thank you and welcome to the channel. I think it might be a little complicated to box the corners. I night have to revisit this one day, and try it out😁
Love the clutch design. Where would you put the tag / logo if you want to add it? Thank you for your awesome detailed tutorials ❤.

Thanks Irene. I'd put the label in the lower centre front😀
Somehow the snaps never fit exactly right, so I left an open area in the top and with the one already in the bottom, am able to align the snaps so they exactly meet. We are top stitching the top anyway, so it worked great.
If you're using a stiffer material, (outdoor pillow fabric) do I need to use a stabilizer?
@ChristinesHomeAffairs

No, I don't think you'd need it Amanda😁
Hi there. Before I sew this up is just like yo check-is it correct that you measure 1 snap closure 2” down and the other 1.5” ?? I didn’t make a mock-up and don’t want to ruin the nice fabric I’ve made it in . 😁
@ChristinesHomeAffairs

Hi, I don't remember what I said in the instructions, but the measurements I gave were what worked for me. If in doubt, you can make a mock-up with folded paper 😀
