QUEEN, your makeup is NOT the right type for your skin tone. You are beautiful without it, if you like your lipstick just use it or get the proper makeup for your skin color. I like watching you old styles.❤️

I’m only wearing lipstick. I don’t wear foundation so my literal skin isn’t the right match for my skin color????.

For some reason your face does look lighter for some reason, I don’t think they meant to offend you. You are beautiful!

You bring the 40s to life! Your talent is your gift that makes you look so fantastic in this dress!!!
You were born way after your time. All these 40's and 50's styles are perfect for you. Happy Valentine's Day.
I'm new to your channel. I love your vintage style. I'm 44yrs old and my mom used to sew our clothes. I swear my mom had this sewing machine. Brings back so many memories. I'm glad I found your channel. I'm not into sewing but I love everything vintage. I've never seen another black woman have a channel like this. I'm so inspired thank you ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
I think your make-up, lipstick, and fashion sense is impeccable and beautiful. Very classy lady. Women today should take lessons from you...
This dress is gorgeous, and you look fantastic in it! I've actually seen this vintage pattern before, but passed it by because I couldn't visualize what I would make it out of. I'm also very impressed by the sewing tips spread throughout your video. I kept thinking, "Oh, yes, that makes sense--what a great idea!"
How did you become such a great seamstress? That dress is gorgeous. Love your style
Your fashion sense is spot on...BRAVO!!!!
Very nice dress! It is very flattering and I really like the style of it. Brilliant job on the hat! Thanks so much for sharing! Happy Valentine’s Day!
I've always wanted to try to make a dress or something. But I don't have a clue where to even start. Your video was super informative, not boring or too much unnecessary stuff. Thanks for the content!!! 👍🏼😀
My grandmother sewed for people when I was very young (late ‘50s and early ‘60s) so all of your lovely sewing looks quite familiar to me. She taught me so much as well as my other grandmother. I love how you use French seams to finish the edges. A lot of people today serge raw edges…but besides French seams…if you’re going for vintage techniques…another edge finish is to pink the seams with pinking shears. My grandmother did that a lot. I majored in home ec years ago and was taught to do a running straight stitch right beside the pinked edge. This technique will allow your seams to lie flatter (due to the pinking) and also avoid some raveling (due to the pinking plus the inside straight seam). I just found your channel and subscribed. You are extremely talented in dressmaking and quite a talented model as well. Love your content!
Hi sweetheart, I love, love, love your videos. One came into my feed last night and I not only watched that video, but I binge watched last night. Awesome. Don’t stop producing videos.
Lovely dress, lovely color. Lovely lady.
you sew so well, all your things hang properly and fit you so well...the perfect model for a sewing pattern, a lot of girls I follow sew well but you have a model figure and showcase the pattern designs...I enjoy your channel, and I loved your pink ceramic christmas tree by the way....
I so love the vintage clothing you produce. Suits from the 40s-70s were some of my absolute favorites. Discovered in my mid-20s that I look best in suits/pants suits and straight line dresses like this new one you've sewn. Love the looks of that dress on you. Reminds me of some of the dresses I've seen in the 1940s-50s movies with Katharine Hepburn, etc. I do enjoy watching you do such extraordinary work using that classic Kenmore. So many young sewing enthusiasts believe they've got to go out and spend a fortune of some of these current machines, when I firmly feel securing a vintage Kenmore, and having it cleaned, oiled, etc, will give them countless years of sewing joy. I have tried to encourage a mother, who has a 18 yr old who wants to learn to sew, to secure a vintage Kenmore, Singer or White vs. going to Walmart to get something which will not have the same longevity.or durability.
Beautiful! It looks wonderful on you. I would love to make vintage clothing. You are very inspiring.
I like your videos, because your voice is very calming and comforting to me. I also want to add that you are absolutely beautiful, especially when you smile in your charming and sencere way
Lovely make as usual. Yes you did put the skirt together correctly. Many vintage patterns use that technique of topstitching the panels in place.
Your talent is unbelievable! I’ve always wanted to learn how to sew. I’ve taught myself so many other things but not how to sew. I might just do that now.
Fantastic! You do a wonderful job on anything you make! Love to see the vintage style clothing! You look great! Keep up the good work!
As I said in one of your Shorts, you instantly made my New Favorite Humans List! Brings back so many memories of making my own clothes in high school & early college!!! 💖💖😍💖💖
My mother sewed for my sister and I growing up. I love watching your videos!
So floaty and beautiful! Lovely dress and the style is very flattering on you!
Such a lovely dress, love the way it flows. Very flattering on you.👗
New subscriber here: Hello! What a lovely dress! You look so elegant and sophisticated. I am older (60) and used to wear my grandmother's garments from the 30s and 40s from the time I was in 7th grade thru my early 20s. Rayon was the perfect fabric for the drape and lines of those beautiful pieces. What beautiful work you do! Following on IG also. You are so creative and inspiring also. I want to get back to my machines now...... 😉
You are an exceptional seamstress , I really wish that a designer would start making classy beautiful clothes that don't have plunging neck lines ,and dresses dresses and skirts that are pass the calf or some to the ankle. Love your fashions .
Omigoodness, and with that hat?! Impeccable! 💕

Beautiful! I love the drape of the fabric.
Lovely dress! Really like the colour and style on you.
I think this is my favorite project of your’s. So beautiful!!
First thing- those jello salad pattern weights are the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen. The dress turned out so charming and that’s such a flattering color on you! Getting the pieces lined up properly is the thing I loathe the most about sewing with silky fabrics, but I don’t see a single hint of bubbling! Great job!
The dress and the hat are lovely!
That is a Stunning dress. Well done. The fit is perfection. - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi
Beautiful! Love, love, love the hat.
It is a delight to watch your sewing skills. I learn something new each time. The dress and the model (you) are beautiful! I love classic clothing with grace, elegance, and beauty. Hopefully, more and more ladies will take an interest in the beauty of this. I love the modesty, too.!

I just discovered your channel and love, love , LOVE seeing these fashions. I am 65 , started sewing at age 8 and never stopped. Now, my 7 year old great niece has expressed an interest in learning to sew and I'm happy to teach her.
Yay top 52 and top 358 comments and likes. Love this channel. Best to you and your family. Happy holidays!!!!!
Aaaaaahhhhhh!!!!! Your wallpaper!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!! Where did you find it???
An easier way to do that lapped seam. Sew the seam right sides together as a normal seam then press both seam allowances to one side and then top stitch 1/8” away through all three layers.
I love the dress, I 💖💖💖💖 the hat !
Fantastic per usual 👏🏾
Wow! Awesome Channel! Awesome skills!

Very pretty.
I absolutely love making these 40’s style dresses, especially when they have 6 gored skirt panels ❤…& guess what? I recently inherited my moms kenmore (after begging for years)! 🙏🙌
Thank you for reminding me to do ALL the prep! Thanks too for all the tips for working with slippery fabric.
Hopefully ladies will dress like this again
