Check out the new Oros strike indicator. It's an improvement on the air lock indicators.

I’ll check it out Man! Thanks for the tip! And stopping by the channel
Love the shirt bruv! Personally have switched to keeping my float setup to my conventional gear (and have gain so much more confidence and fish w/beads) and tightlineing with the flyrod. Certain holes require different techniques right
Thanks
Thanks for sharing this, I might do some fly fishing now. What are the kinds of fish I can catch with this? Thanks

Hey thanks for stopping by the channel. As for your question the length of the liter all depends on the length of the water you’re fishing. So if you’re fishing deeper water I would make my leader a little bit longer so you can get down and have wiggle room to adjust your float on the mainline. Hope that helps tightlines
I’ll be out and about tomorrow afternoon searching for some steel, maybe I’ll see you out there! If you’re ever down for a collab shoot give me a shout! Keep em’ tight man!

How deep are you fishing with this rig?

Hey brother with a rig like this it’s usually In smaller waters so max would be 4ft but usually skinner. A lot of the Erie tributaries and Ontario tributaries I fish how hole and pockets that are 2 foot deep that hold fish because the rest of the water around it is clear and skinny. Hope that helped
good tutorial man but isn't it Sacrilegious to use a float and bead with a fly rod lol

Haha yeah! Haha 😂 it really is! I love it tho. It’s so funny I think a lot of people forget that we pay to fish and we don’t get paid to fish. It’s so weird because I fish for so many species and for some reason when it comes to steelhead people are so serious. It kind of freaks me out. That’s why I love your channel it’s very light hearted. Just want people to have as much fun as I do haha! Thanks for stopping by ☺️

That’s a practiced and preached method of fly fishing for steel! West Coast fly fisherman have been using bead/indicator for a long time, thats how I fish these tribs. When you use a float it’s spinning and pinning, when you’re using an indicator, it’s fly fishing! I saw someone using egg sacs on the fly and I was wondering if that was a normal approach, which I don’t think it is 😂. All in all, if you hook and land what you’re fishing for legally and ethically, that’s successful fishing, more power to you!

I thought beads were traditionally a fly thing
