The game runs amazing with these settings, keep in mind at least for me in the first 2-3 minutes there was a lot of stuttering, and then it stabilized for the rest of the game

That's shader compilaton. Once they are compiled the stutters are gone.

the only issue I've encountered is that some lines of dialogue during gameplay will just be muted at random. It's rare but a non-issue since I have subtitles on and it usually only lasts for one line of dialogue.

I tried playing it through rpcs3 and got right up to the first mission where you pass the train on your horse and never got any further 😂 here’s to hoping it works better with xenia. Same specs as the video except a 1050ti!

Very clear explanation. At the moment I'm very disappointed with Rockstar since no PC port for RDR1 and also no remaster/remake yet. So I ended up watching your tutorial and setup Xenia & RDR1 in my PC. After impressed by RDR2 story with Arthur Morgan - I've been keen to play RDR1 as well . And now I finally have a very playable RDR1 on my PC - many thank you for your tutorial !!!

@@naelsonsimoes5938 nope, I don't think so. Everything seems sluggish to me, but thats a controller/stick sens issue in my case. No response issues whatsoever.

Video helped a lot! Getting consistent frames on a Ryzen 7 2700 and a GTX 1070 8gb with 16gb ram. Not sure why people are having such issues with way higher end systems lol... Even been streaming it to friends over discord with no issues at all. The only one I had was fixed because I didn't watch the video all the way through. The setting with the sun rays clipping through walls during cutscenes was fixed immediately. I found the red dead file by literally googling "Xbox 360 Roms" and skimmed through a reddit page for maybe 2 minutes before finding a link that worked.

I have 4080 and ryzen 7 and run like butter the one thing i have as problem is that sometimes lightning flickers a bit, do you think with that sun setting is also for every light?

that's it men I will use this. since r* won't put it on pc after all these years. never played this one, never had an xbox360, I always was a pc player, but I want to continue rdr2's story so badly because rdr2 completely sucked me into the red dead universe.

Really Helpful, but i had a 1 day break until i found a balkan youtube who had a discord linked with the red dead 1 file linked too and then it was easy to follow this again. 9/10 , could have had a discord server to link it on Edit: what are the controls? Edit 2: Mouse visible at all times

it says unable to mount? how to fix

Hey guys so I need a little help. I downloaded RDR from internet archive(was about 12 GB) right and it works perfectly fine except for the fact that I can't seem to get into the main story mode. When it asks if I want to play single player mode and I click A it immediately starts undead nightmare and there's no option to start the main game. Any solutions for this? Edit: okay nvm turns out disk 1 is the main story and Disk 2 is the undead nightmare dlc. I've been playing with disk 2 lol. I'll just leave this here in case anyone has the same problem I had

Anisotropic filtering is not very performance intensive. I recommend having anisotropic filtering turned to 16x in the global settings of nvidia control panel. Always use it when available unless you're running a rig that's old and on its last leg

@@zaquis- I mean if you have something equivalent to a 10 series card or newer I'd day set it to 16x and forget about it. If you have something truly old, check your fps, enable it and check again. If your fps tanked more than what youre willing to sacrifice, turn it off. Like I said tho anisotropic filtering is not performance intensive much at all

Im not paying 50 usd for a decade old game, Im doing this

so uh im getting massive screen tear issues, i turned on vsync but its still there, for some reason it goes away when i exit fullscreen, so it only happens when im in fullscreen? Any ideas on how to fix

It doesn't even stop me from closing in the first cinematic due to a graphics error, and I have it at 1 and I don't have graphics, is there a solution to remove something so that it doesn't close?

@@CosmicIsDead In draw_resolution_scale-x I think I have one on 1 and the othe on 2. On the main folder for xenia the scaling I had on 10 for the upscaling. If you have a gaming laptop make sure its using your main graphics not intel ect hope this helps

Any settings changed in the xenia-canary config TOML resets every time I launch the game, and the resolution upscale doesn't work cause of it being reset. How do I fix this?

I have the exact same ISO as you and the exact same patches, I've made sure that I went into the Xenia config and changed "apply patches" to true, and yet it still does not work for me, Xenia won't apply the patches. Plz help.
