I think what's most fascinating is how far mechanical engineering for speedcubing has become. Designing all of these adjustable features and making them accessible to any new speedcuber certainly isn't easy.

... or intuitive and easy. I'm an RS3M 2020 cuber, and I didn't get to experience the hassle of gluing magnets in place. Many people complained about the cube's weak magnets, and I think that was the point. They're designed to be weak so that you can strengthen them without glues.

Thank China and their manufacturing wizardry. If this was made 15 years ago in an American factory, they’d be hundreds and hundreds of dollars, no exaggeration. If Gan, moyu, etc. didn’t exist and it was an American factory, I would expect something like a Gan 13 to be $500 dollars minimum. It’s been happening with tons of products. A good example off the top of my head is ultrasonic cleaners. For decades, if you wanted to buy a small one, there was only one American company that made them. The price was around $1500 to $2000 dollars for one. After Alibaba, you could immediately get one of equal quality straight from the Chinese factory for less than $100 bucks. The best example is watches. There are a few models of the Rolex Submariner which you can get a counterfeit of from a Chinese website. The counterfeit is absolutely indistinguishable from genuine down to every last detail of all the complex internals. They even grow the exact same rubies that Rolex uses. Like it’s so perfectly copied that even a high level expert can’t tell them apart. It’s a big problem in the resell market. Nobody wants to buy them because there’s literally no way to know for sure if it’s genuine. These models used to resell for around $18k and now they go for like 14k which is an all time low. The counterfeit is $600. Genuine is 14-15 thousand. Again, they’re the exact same watch. Same everything. For all intents and purposes, it may as well be genuine because nobody will ever possibly know it’s not. This is how good Chinese manufacturing is.

I recently started out so after watching this video I broke my record to 33.99 seconds and because of your amazing videos, I'm sure I will get under 20 pretty soon. so thank you so much for the amazing content!

Your tutorials helped me solve my first cube, your CFOP guides with 4LLL has given me my 45s pbr and 55s avg, and guide helped me a lot in learning how the heck the cube works and how it needs to be maintained and customized now that I have my Moyu RS3M 2021 maglev. Your cube reviews are also interesting and entertaining and I've discovered a lot of cool twisty puzzles thanks to them. Idk if you'll see this comment, but keep up the great work.

Great tutorial I used it to setup every single one of cubes since this video was released but 1 thing I found after becoming a little bit more experience with setting up cubes is that lubes create a big difference in feel for example if you apply mythic in the wrm 2021 it wents from smooth to plush which changes the feel and more lube just change it even more it can make your cube feel gummy heavy etc besides that the the tutorial is great .

Make more content like this which is related to customising the cube but not just the cube reviews

So when you order a new cube right when you get it you need to take it apart, clean it, lube it etc? Because I think it's already clean when you get it. What does set up a cube mean?
