How can I give root access with the terminal which is on mac because xda navbar application asks to grant root and I am using moto m and a mac. Please help me I want to change my stock navbar to xda navbar

Have an old LG Optimus L90 (the T Mobile version) running lollipop that I'm trying to use ADB with to root and eventually install a custom ROM on. The allow OEM unlocking option doesn't appear in developer options so I'm wondering if maybe T Mobile is behind that?

i have installed ADB and fastboot on Mac OS with Nexus Tool. is there any difference between the two methods?

I have an Moto X2 that I got the display reinstalled and afterwards didn't turn on, when I plug the charger the screen shows the charging bar but the phone wont turn on, I tried booting it via my mac but I couldnt get it working, do you have any idea of what should I do? Tried doing the fastboot with the volume down and power and didnt work.

So by installing ADB, and verifying that it shows your serial and the word device, does this signify that fastboot is also setup correctly..??? Whenever i type "fastboot devices" it just moves down one line to the same command prompt.. If i type "adb devices", it shows my serial and says "device", so I'm not 100% on if my fastboot is working or not and also not really sure how to test it.. I'm about to root my LG V20 and the process uses adb and fastboot so I just want to make sure ahead of time that i"m doing it right..

what is the root permission password ?

You failed to show how you got the fastboot files in your drive. Also is your drive opened to access? how can we get that file?
