Thank you! Finally managed to deactivate oil service in my E91. Apparently you cannot reset it after 300000km my car got quite some milage currently 485000km and still running great! 325I

I have the same problem it will reset only to 0 km I can see the oil level in the screen and it is full so that works,is the oil sensor defect and will a replacement solve the problem. it has driven 363000 km on 5 april 2023 an oil change has been done, I want to reset it but no luck. but an oil change at 337000 km the oil reset works fine and also before.

Was unable to get INPA to work with my 335d, the black dots recognise the battery and ignition, but I get an error when I select the engine in the list, seems to me that there are files missing from my install! I will try again today!

Hi BMW Doctor Thanks for your video. I bought an adapter like the one you used. Works flawlessly. One question, however. Why was it possible to read an E90 Bj 2009 and an F36 Bj 2016 in the same position in the left position? And with the right position it was possible to read a 2014 Z5?

Awesome video! Helped me get set up and communicate with a couple e90’s. Any advice for an e70 X5M that has power at the obd all fuses are fine but I get a no communication with ecu in ista and inpa ifh-0009 error?

Hi Dr Dean. Love your OCD so much that I went and bought a 2009 125i n52n auto coupe with 100K kilometres here in Australia. I have all intentions to give this car some DYI love. Can you recommend what I’d need as far as code reading plugs, scanner software etc as I only intend to service and maintain and not modify, unless you get all OCD on me and convince me to change out the bad stuff. Ive been connecting to my car using Ista D and TRYING to use Ista P, but having connection issues. That said, I just noticed at the 4:45 mark that you have thr AUC and Fogging sensor fault stored like I do in my E60. Is that normal?

Hi BMW Doctor! I have an E70 35d and I'm having problems configuring the cable to read the car. I have done all the recommended configurations for the cable but still get the error when reading the car. I purchased a K-DCan cable. Where should the switch be, left or right and any other advise on what else to configure will be deeply appreciated. Thanks!

Super Video, Dean. If you remember, I had the cord without the switch, and you couldn't finish up on the hookup on my E46, when I purchased ISTA+ from you. Looking forward to getting out tomorrow and running the program, and do some looking around on the program. Thanks, my Friend!

Hi Dean, I have just bought an F31 (2013) and am wanting to connect it up to Ista to do my own fault code checking. In the beginner's guide to Ista on the Bimmerfest forum it says i can only use an Enet or Icom connection for F series. Please can you let me know what type of cable to buy for the simplest and easiest connection to USB on my laptop? I do not have an ethernet port but was hoping to use an ethernet USB adapter. Thanks

Hi, nice video. I have a question... I own a BMW E83 2009, I'm suffering while connect me obd cable to read the car, specially it has a GM transmission. What is the best cable to read my car, cause the current cable is not reading transmission and DME modules!!!! Although it reads fine my other E60 and E66🙄 Also when I run INPA it doesn't show function jobs in the high level menu when select F7 E83, while it's appearing when selecting E60 or E66???

I hope you can help me with my F80 problem...firstly, I Bought a salvaged m3 in the USA but someone made off the only key while the car was on the ports for customs clearing, anyway I managed to clear the car and took it home on tow truck...I ask the local key expert to program a new key bought off amazon but he managed to decode my Fem so now i have to reprogram and so I intend to buy cheap icom next and download ista...the big question is, can I encode my fem with icom and ista only or do I need additional software. I usually work on my own motor cars including Mercedes and Porsches but have not done much with bmw except 2006 Range Rover and mini... I cannot go to the dealer to order a replacement key because I need to pass inspection, registration etc then get my title to prove to the local dealer that I’am the true owner of the car..without starting I cannot get these done.. Btw I’m in the Caribbean..

Hi Great videos. I have a e91 2011 320d I have set interface to edibias.ini but still get a net 0015 error from the cable to laptop. I've not set any com 1 as stated , link?? Hi did you know if it will work with bmw x6 e71 model 2009 ?

I have a 2013 X3 (XDrive 28i) ... I'm not sure which rear wheel is effected, but dash lights are on and I loose power ... should I just use the washer repair on both rear sensors or are there sensors on front wheels as well, I'm trying to find the correct (K + DCAN Cable With ISTA + & INPA) to determine which wheel is the issue but I’m not getting any answers as of yet ... just wanted to get a temp repair on this issue long enough for dealer trade-in (I strongly feel they kind’a deserve it) LOL!!

I always used inpa and DIS with silver K-DCAN cable until I got ISTA-D a few days ago. I had no communication between the car and ista so found this video. I checked the settings and all was correct and checked the cable was still working with Inpa. (Had to change back to COM PORT9). My problem now is when I changed back to COM PORT1 and load ISTA, I get an error message saying not enough working memory and the program shuts down. My laptop has more than enough so it doesn’t make sense

If my cable doesn't have the switch....just normal k+dcan cable....what can ista talk to? e46 or e90? thanks as always

Great video, in ISTA I can't change over the interface type to Ediabas, it is set to Dealer but it is all greyed out with no way to click on them

I have a bmw m3 e92 that I've scanned with a launch x-431, the car communicated with the scanner but all of the faults kept coming up not equipped i don't know what may be the problem if you have any information please share. Thank you Btw i checked if any fuse is blown but that's not the issue

do you have an american link for the cable? I recently brought my 2004 e46 clubsport with an ssg, to a bmw indie shop with 30 years of experience (I usually do all my own work) to have him do the bleeding process for the ssg system, but he couldn't get ista w/ icom to communicate with the car, I have a hunch of why (but you have any ideas what it could be let me know, he was using a legit full access version) but I am trying to see if I can do this myself because currently my car mechanically is absolutely perfect and I just moved away from my family and I am on my own. I just want to make sure I have the right software to do this, also I need it to work with windows 10.

I have the cables without the switch and on my e86 (probably uses the e46 computer) it doesn’t work with ISTA but it works with inpa. Anyway the ...\Rheingold\Ediabas\bin\edibass.ini interface was on remote
