Very interesting!!! I know it’s officially the Christmas season because the commercial after your DIY was the Hess truck one. My grandmother used to get hess trucks for all of her grandsons every year. It’s amazing how much money they are going for now.

Hi Momma O. and happy Friday to you. Well, I don't sew and do not use a sewing machine but if I did this definitely would be so very beneficial to know. This will help someone that loves to sew things. Fixing the timing problem yourself is got to definitely be a money saver especially nowadays when things are so expensive. Thank you I just took mine in . I won’t do that anymore. It wouldn’t Catch the bottom but I bought it second hand so it probably need a good mechanic but I can fix it next time

yes, l finally had the fixer guy how to fix the timing on my machine because l was taking it in so much and now l can just fix my own, it is so nice to know how to do it

I don't have a sewing machine but that is something good to know.

I'll let you into a secret, more often than not, I found that the 2 screws on the needle plate once slightly loosened will come out, if you rub circles around the top of the screw! Less frustrating than a screwdriver lol much love & squishy hugs jacq

Thanks for the video. I accidentally put a scissor underneath the needle and when i switched the machine on, the needle hit the scissor and broke. Now my machine can't sew. What might be the reason? Was needle holder affected 😢

@@MammaOVlogs thanks for your kind reply. it seems the needle now goes deeper than normal into its holder. When i lower it, it works. Any permanent solution to this

wow! too complicated for me, lol. thats hard to adjust the timing just right. Momma O, I still say you are a jack of all trades.

While I understand & follow your logic, I’m still going to let the repairman be the responsible party. I do exactly the same thing that you do, sewing over the pins & breaking or bending a needle. I have also removed the plate over the feeder feet to clean lint out of the machine. I discovered excess lint can cause stitches to be slipped.

l hope you got it fixed, when l had the screw off l would but the screwdriver into the v part and then turn the wheel with my hand until the needle would go into the v part then l would tighten the screw up and make sure that the needle is going into the v part

I would switch off the power before all manipulations, we do not need any accidents Otherwise very good tips 👍
